Wonderful Christmas Day Brunch. Beautiful space and delicious food. Really enjoyed the Burrata Aristocrat with homemade lox. Katie, our server, was friendly and attentive --our champagne glasses were always full.

Quite a deceptive experience : wait a long time to order, you come for a brunch and there's no pancake anymore or avocado toast. But you're informed a long time after ordering. Waiters were very kind.

Service un peu long mais c’était le 24 décembre au soir. Viande Angus grasse sur une assiette sur 4, renvoyée en cuisine mais au retour très peu de pommes de terre… Bonne adresse pour New York.

Nous avons passé un incroyable repas de Noël ! Le repas était vraiment excellent, les serveurs extrêmement gentils. Ils ont même pensé à mettre une bougie d’anniversaire sur mon dessert sans que j’ai à leur demander. Je recommande sans aucune hésitation et nous reviendrons !

Essex food and service were totally on point. Vibe was very mellow, but we were dining on a Sunday night. We shared a burrata flatbread which was very good but the steak was the star. The Porterhouse Steak for Two, which could easily serve three, was on another level of awesome and was cooked to perfection. I've been to all the name steakhouses and this may have been the best steak I ever had. Shout out to Kate, our server, for her excellent food and wine recommendations. Will be back!

Stopped by for the happy hour and ended up getting the New York Strip. Delicious oysters and amazing steak! Good beer selection too! Will be back!

The service was good, friendly staff,but the food was not that good or appetizing. I sent back the French toast, and the waitress was really good about it. I won’t be returning.

Only 6 people out of our 8 person party received their food. They didn’t bring out all the food simultaneously. And when we asked about it they never gave a reasonable explanation for the error. Very unprofessional

Had brunch here and it was probably the best bottomless brunch I’ve had in NYC. This was the first time I had brunch at the new location, as I previously dined at Essex when it was located across the street, and was disappointed there. The service at this location was exceptional and I will return. Highly recommend it !
