Overall I think it was a good value for the price although I wish one alcoholic drink was included per adult. The smoked seafood selection was particularly great but excellent prime rib and desserts as well. It was a little loud and couldn't carry on a nice conversation being sat right next to the piano player but it was a good ambiance during the sunset either way.

Went for Thanksgiving Buffet Dinner. At $165 per person and one beverage each (x2 people) & they added a 20% gratuity before taxes. So a 71 dollar gratuity was taxed!! The total bill was $476.! Now for the food… there were pluses like the ravioli in cream sauce, the roast beef and crabs legs. The salads were only 2 green, and fruit was just sliced unripe melon and pineapple or sour berries in individual bowls. Nothing more than just sitting there. Nothing eye appealing. The charcuterie table with lots of cheese and salami meats was interesting but no crackers or even breads sliced to use… I saw whole baguettes but no way to slice into individual pieces making it unusable. The cheeses were displayed as if at the grocery store deli counter… noting lovely and artistic. Generally unappealing. Desserts were little creations more like candies than luscious soft cakes or flaky pies and tasty puddings. They were pretty but too sweet and not satisfying when you want a perfect not too sweet ending to the meal. All in all, entirely too expensive for just so so food and it’s unimaginative display. One would expect opulence. The location looking out the huge windows was spectacular as the sun set. That’s our experience and evaluation.

I've eaten at Goldfinch Tavern many times and have been pleased. I tried their Easter Buffet this year which was held in the Four Seasons Ballroom. As always, service was exceptional. The food, even though it was buffet style, was good. I just believe for the price ($155/person plus drinks, tip, service charge which worked out to be approximately $250/person when all done ) there would have been made to order stations. For example, made to order eggs, eggs benedict, waffles, pasta, omelettes, etc. They did have some hot stations where one could choose between two pre-cooked pastas; scrambled eggs (no bacon, no waffles) but they did have sausage; and a beef station (but unable to cook meat above a medium rare so if you like your meat more well done you were out of luck). it's only my opinion, but I believe the meal fell below what one would expect from the Four Seasons and/or Goldfinch Tavern.

This was our second holiday brunch at the four seasons and the food was top notch, as was the service. However the ballroom location really lacked the sort of ambiance that you’d expect for a holiday brunch at this price point. It really belonged downstairs at Goldfinch.
