My wife and I chose Fallon and Byrne for a very infrequent meal out as we had both eaten there before and been happy with the experience. Sad to say this experience did not live up to expectations. To begin with we found the menu very limited in options. When we recieved our mains they were underwhelming. I ordered the chicken which consisted of two small goujon sized pieces of chicken and a small disc of potato for €28. The side dish of baby roast potatoes was the only dish that lived up to expectation. As for value for money we both left feeling we had overpaid and needed to go elsewhere to complete our meal. While the service was generally good, one of the side dishes did not get to ordered. The menu bore no resemblence to the one on this website and all of the prices were increased by 10-15%. Overall a very disappointing experience with excessive pricing and seating that felt too close together. There are definitely better options and better value available.

We have been to Fallon and Byrne a few times through the years and have always enjoyed it. We found tonight's experience disappointing. In the past, coats were taken at the door and you felt you were walking into a formal dining room. Unfortunately no attempt was made to take your cars and therefore they were strewn at the back of the chair. We were under the impression a complimentary glass of champagne would be given as promoted on the website, but this could only given when getting the food from the fixed price menu. The food was fine but the scallops were miniscule in portion (3 small sized scalloos for 20 euros) as well as the 2 tiny strips of duck as a main course). The staff are welcoming but I'm afraid it feels as if the glory days of this restaurant are well and truly behind it. Not the treat it used to be, a casual dining experience with formal prices.

We enjoyed a lovely family dinner at this restaurant. Three people chose the duck main and one the Irish steak. The food was lovely. Service was excellent despite the restaurant being busy. Dessert for us was cheese and sorbet. Recommended if in Dublin.

The food was mediocre. We had three kids dishes which were fine. The chicken dish was over cooked and dry and the steak was over cooked and definitely not worth the €42 for a rib eye. We ordered a side dish which never came. The staff were friendly and helpful but there seemed to be less staff than necessary for the size of the dining room. The menu was a bit lacking in choice which was why we only had a main course. Not our first visit but seems to have gone down a bit since our last. Hopefully some helpful criticism.

We had an end of year family lunch for 18 people. The food was delicious. The service was exemplary - warm and attentive. My brother wishes your wine list included some more reasonably priced reds. We gad a very good time, and would do it again.

Disappointed with our recent lunch at Fallon and Byrne. Waited 45 minutes for two ribeye steaks despite being told 20 minutes. When served, the steaks were overcooked - charred outside, barely pink inside, and dried out from sitting under heat lamps. Mine was excessively fatty. At €140 for lunch, this quality was fell short of expectations, even during the busy Christmas period.

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Fallon and Byrne Dining Room. Food was superb, service was attentive without being intrusive. Fairly noisy but you'd expect that when the restaurant was full and it's a couple of days before Christmas.
