   We went to Famille for my 70th birthday dinner, just my husband and myself. It was absolutely amazing! We started with Grey Goose Martinis and their Artisan Cheese Chareuterie Board (A MUST!). I had the Bison Short Rib/Brussel Sprouts/Buttermilk Garlic Pomme Purée (mash potatoes). delicious! My husband had the Braised Duck Leg/Pork Belly Braised Red Cabbage/Sweet Potato, Cranberry Demi Glaze also amazing! We had a bottle of their Herriot Champangne…OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!! WE ended with their Chocolate Cake/Hot Fudge (They put a candle on it for my birthday and it was free!) my husband had the Winter Citrus Tart. We shared both! What a very special celebration!

   We dined here for the first time and, overall, had a nice experience. However, the service was quite slow—we waited about half an hour for our food to be served. That said, the food itself was delicious, beautifully presented, and the ambience of the restaurant was lovely. Despite the delay, we’ll be back to give it another try because ambience and good are nice.

   Went for the fall wine pairing event. We have gone to several of these events and they never disappoint. The chef is creativea and clearly enjoys what she does. The wine is interesting and perfectly paired. The staff is attentive without being overbearing. Just a lovely place.

   We had a great time at Famille! I had the duck leg and it was unique and delicious. The warm goat cheese dip was yummy, but I would have preferred soft, homemade pita and a lower price tag. The desserts were decadent!

   Decided to check it out based on positive past reviews, everything we saw online was just what we were looking for, a cool space with an interesting menu without being so upscale that we needed to get primped up. We were simply looking for a nice night out with some quality meals. Thankfully we were able to get a table when we got in and were seated promptly, however from the moment we sat down things started to go downhill. It took quite sometime before a server greeted us at our table to take drink orders. Finally, once she did its as if she just disappeared for the rest of the night. This seemed to be a theme throughout our visit. We ordered a couple appetizers, my wife the fried pickles and the French onion soup for me. The pickles were fantastic, the tempura on the batter was nice and light and the dipping sauce was a nice compliment. The soup however was in dire need of seasoning, again, this would be a theme throughout the meal. Again, it took forever for the waitress to come back to take our main dish orders. And then what seemed like an eternity for the food to come out. I'm convinced that the food came off the line and sat under the heat lamps for half an hour. All that waiting could possibly be excused if the dishes were excellent, but sadly that wasn't the case. The burger was charred and overcooked with a bun turned to a crisp after sitting under the warmer for so long, and my wife's French dip served with the same under seasoned and uninspiring jus as the soup. Suffice it to say, the bill at the end of all this felt like salt in the wound, surprising considering it seemed like the kitchen was out of it. All that being said, i would be wililng to give them a second chance, perhaps it it was an off night. TL;DR - service was extremely slow, if not flat out ignoring us. Food was bland or overcooked. Price way too high for the experience we had.

    I was so excited to try Famille for the first time and I was very unimpressed. From the initial phone call to make a reservation, I was given the run around to book a table of four. Host stated that our preferred time was a “busy time” and she couldn’t book us then. I asked if we could walk in and was also discouraged to do so as there would be “a wait.” I mean… What would one expect with a walk in? We know that. Also, when we looked at Open Table there were reservations for every time for our party of 4 (which we initially ended up booking on). Upon being seating there were at least 4 tables open? What happened to this being “your busy time?” Just all a very unfortunate first impression. Now let’s get to the food…. The Bruschetta and The French Dip were the only positive experiences of our evening. The Bison tartare was severely under seasoned and the color was very grey and unappealing. We only had a few bites as I was nervous we may get sick? The Wild Boar Bolognese and Scallops were decent but nothing to write home about. The French Onion soup was also severely under seasoned. Guest had to ask for salt and pepper just to make it palatable. The drinks were decent but how bad can you mess up Chardonnay and a Dirty Gin Martini? Service was incredibly slow and nonexistent towards the end. We had to ask multiple people to close out. All in all, for $400 I would have been much happier if we would’ve just listened to host and not booked all together. This was not up to par for the price or experience at all and this was very disappointing as we were hoping this would be our new neighborhood spot…
