Great night, doz oyster special was fantastic as well as the Octopus, and the scallops with Pork Belly was spectacular!! Very nice food experience

Great, food, nice staff… but price a bit steep. We arrived just after happy hour so we missed the happy deals (2-6pm: oysters, drinks). We ordered “tapas” from the regular menu. For 2 people, we ordered a bisque, one plate of tacos, a plate of 5 bake oysters, 4 beers and 2 apple ciders. Total w tip was ~200$. I’ll come back but before 6pm …

Abysmal service. Horrible lighting. The food was mediocre, at best. A server dumped a glass of red wine all over my dry clean only coat, and then we were basically ignored for the rest of the evening.

The seafood is always exceptional. I really enjoyed trying some of the new items on the menu and the dessert was really a standout!! You definitely want to leave room for dessert!

Absolutely fantastic experience at Fanny Bay Oyster Bar! The service was top-notch—friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. The seafood was incredibly fresh and expertly prepared. From the oysters to the seafood plates, every bite was delicious. A must-visit spot for seafood lovers in Vancouver! My go to favorite for special occasions.

I’ve had many visits here previously and always loved it, certainly it was one of my go to places. This visit was very different, the food and ambience had changed a lot, quality has really fallen off. Instead of wonton crisps for the tuna it was store bought tortilla chips, tuna tacos was just an ounce of flavourless fish slapped on a plate, portions were laughably small, mussels had just a slice of uncooked bread thrown on them. The floor was filthy, the lights were uncomfortably bright, music was loud, nothing about this visit was appealing outside of the friendly service. We left hungry and immediately went to a nearby restaurant for a proper meal which is crazy considering how much we spent.

First time at Fanny Bay! Definitely a restaurant that I will come back to. Great time! Service was great, oysters were great and ambiance was friendly and very social.

We were really looking forward to dining at Fanny’s. However, there was only one red wine available out of 4, the lobster gnocchi had no flavour, and covered in bread crumbs and very little lobster. I told the server and he asked what we’d like him to do. At the very least a discount or remove the item from the bill, but nothing was done. My partners mussels were good, the prices were a bit high for what you got.

Paying $3 for 2 small pieces of bread is ridiculous!! Paying $17 for basically a jello dessert in a martini glass is also crazy!! $65 for a local BC wine ??? Give me a break. So stop with the crazy mark ups and bread should be free if I’m paying over $150 for food items - food quality is excellent and pricing acceptable. But not the add ons and price of local wine
