Located just outside Chichester, at the heart of the Goodwood Estate, Farmer, Butcher, Chef celebrates the beef, pork, and lamb reared at Goodwood Home Farm. Aptly named, the farmer, butcher, and chef collaborate to discuss the available cuts of meat, which are featured in our hearty Butcher’s Boards and a constantly changing seasonal menu.

Awarded two AA Rosette's, it has a relaxed atmosphere with quintessentially British interiors by Leveson Design. With a bar and beautiful courtyard where you can enjoy live music and BBQs throughout the summer months, alongside a full calendar of events, the restaurant is a space to enjoy exceptional food with friends, family and dogs are very welcome too.

Goodwood has been farmed by the Dukes of Richmond for over 300 years. Susan, Duchess of Richmond was one of the Soil Association’s earliest members. Her belief in organic food and animal welfare were instrumental in Goodwood Home Farm becoming the first 100% organically fed dairy in the country.

    We had an excellent table by a window as requested with our booking. Three of us had the beef and one the lamb and all agreed it was the tastiest lunch we’ve had for many a month. Staff were very attentive and we had no problem changing the veg dishes over. We didn’t have a desert and if I read correctly the cheese was £22 pounds, which seemed a tad expensive. Overall a very enjoyable Sunday lunch and we will definitely return.

    We had the beef steak, mine was excellent, my wife's very gristly. The sweets were fantastic, a highlight. Keep room for one, not huge but vertytasty. The staff were lovely . They is a big open fire but it wasn't lit, that would have helped create a better ambience.

    Another lovely meal here, but the first time we have dined in the evening Came for a dinner birthday celebration, and all the little touches made it special. The cheese cart selection was great and gave it a bit of flair, highly recommend.

    Unfortunately standards at FBC have dropped. It is still good, but no longer excellent. They no longer serve the free artisan bread with specialty butter. The waitress said this was a cost cutting by the new manager - this is a big mistake. Also service was very slow.

    Beautiful food and service was enthusiastic and very polite. Most impressive was the outstanding attention to my daughter’s celiac disease. She had a personal waitress and an assurance that all her food would be prepared separately and brought to the table by her.

    We’ve eaten here several times & the food has always been very good, however my last meal here was very salty & a couple of the other diners with me also found their food very salty. Slightly disappointing!
