This is the second time we’ve eaten at Ficus, so I feel like I’m now equipped to make observations on the experience: -The food really is incredible. Everything we’ve ordered has been delicious. I especially recommend the Potato Croquettes appetizer. -The service is very average. Expect long wait times without communication. We have eaten there only on weekend nights, and there is consistently only one server working. It seems the whole restaurant is staffed by just a few people. Be prepared to just place your whole order the first time the server comes to your table because you may wait fifteen minutes before you see them again. -Your meals are inconsistently delivered. One of our members, who ordered the buttered pasta, received their food over ten minutes after the rest of us. We had to notify the server we didn’t receive the food when he finally came over to see how everything was. -The jazz music is a wonderful background to dinner; however, the restaurant walls have chipped and missing paint all over, as does the bathroom. When the bill costs around $200 for three adults and one child, I would like to see upkeep. One additional note: The stairs inside the building that take you up to the restaurant are very steep. Just be mindful.

Food was well prepared and tasteful; steaks were served exactly prepared as asked and nice of nice proportion, duck was also well prepared and the Branzino was also very good. Service was good and friendly. We had a nice table in the corner at the window. It’s nice that it’s a BYOB. And I would like to come again some time and experience the outdoor area.

The food was mediocre. Especially the scallops were very disappointing. The appetizers were mini style. Overall the food was overpriced and underwhelming. We will not go back.

Great little surprise awaits upstairs from what looks like a very cute bakery downstairs. But upstairs is a nice atmosphere and the night we went even with a live band. Great surprise. Our waitress was very helpful in selecting gluten free dishes, which is a plus in our family. The food was very, very good, I especially recommend the beef tacos. I think those were my favorite. It's an appetizer but I would have as a meal next time. Great portions. The butternut soup was also highly recommended. It may be a seasonal thing, but it was excellent. Definitely a great little spot if you are visiting the Princeton area.

Come with me for a date! After years of doing OpenTable reviews, I was able to redeem points at a participating restaurant. This leads us to our night at Ficus Ficus is a multi-level establishment with a cafe on the ground floor and a dining area upstairs complete with al fresco seating on their rooftop & private rooms. The crisp autumn weather was perfect for dinner outside. We got the duck spring rolls to start which had two different sauces, a smokey chipotle & what seemed to be a play on a plum sauce. The wrappers were crispy & filling was hot - we just wish there were more duck inside! Mocktails were our vibe and we got a blueberry mojito & a peach lady. For entrees, we decided to go cozy. The beef cheek was unbelievably tender and the mash potatoes were creamy and amped up with rosemary. The brick chicken featured a butternut and apple purée and pickled fennel. On the side was sautéed kale. While the taste was good, the chicken was overcooked - kind of disappointing. The dish was also pretty wet due to the glaze mixing with the moisture from the kale. Execution could have been much better. Dessert was awesome - no notes! Service was also very friendly and our waitress that night was a vibe. While there are definitely some areas that can be improved, Ficus provided a lovely night out. Thank you, OpenTable for making this meal possible! 4/5 ⭐️

The food was excellent. Mock margarita was tasty also. Service was very good, with just one waiter and two assistant servers on a Saturday night. Tables for 2 inside were a little too close together for getting in and out of seats. Would return. Roof deck looked popular.

Had date night over the weekend, got the duck spring rolls and tuna tartare for starters. Entrees we got salmon in a bed of broccolini and quinoa and the duck dish with potatoes, carrots and a puree that knocked me outta my chair. Excellent dinner together and our server was attentive, will absolutely be adding this to the restaurant rotation! Thanks guys
