   Brea was cold. Salmon and shrimp entree came with 2 shrimp. Steak was tough

   Our waiter was terrible. Got apps and drinks pretty quickly and then everything went south from there. Order three salads and our meal came but never got any salads. We asked for butter and when we called the manager over it had already been 15 mins. It took the manager 30 seconds. Asked for boxes and that proceeded to take another 15 minutes.

   The waiter was spot on for the steak recommendation. I wish I listened and got the NY Strip. My Prime rib was just Ok. My wife’s NY strip was very good. The specialty margaritas were just ok. Service was slow and the waiter seemed out of place. He was forgetful, didn’t get us our desert or extra drink we ordered which we canceled. He gave us the wrong receipt with credit card and someone else got ours which they had written in a lousy tip which I left on there. Very unlikely we will go try Firebirds a second time.

   The place had a ton of empty tables. We got there at 6:50 and put our name in table of 5. By 8 still empty tables and we’re not seated. I made a 8:15 res on open table and it was accepted. We sat at 8:30! Still a ton of empty tables! Ridiculous!

    We have been here twice now, and the food and service have both been remarkable. The server was patient and excellent with my young kids. I had also noted it was my husband’s birthday, so she brought out a complimentary crème brûlée bites order (delicious!) and lit a candle. It was very special, and we were so appreciative. Everything we ordered was exceptional.
