   With our table not ready for our reservation we headed to their bar and found two seats tucked away in the corner. After ordering drinks from the attentive bartender, we decided we had the best seats and probably the best service in the restaurant, so we stayed gave up our table reservation and stayed at the bar. Great decision, wonderful service and very good food!

   The food here is usually excellent, but my meal early on New Year's Eve was disappointing. Abby, our server was excellent as was the rest of the staff. My rib eye steak was less than good, however. First of all, the cut of meat was poor. Looked and tasted more like a poor cut of a KC strip steak. No marbling, tough, with a fair amount of gristle. Ordered it medium but came out medium rare with almost no taste. My fault that I didn't send it back, but they were very busy, and I didn't want to risk a problem related to that by sending it back. This was all a surprise to me because the last time I ate here a month ago, it was one of the best steaks I'd ever had. To be complete, my Caesar salad was very good, and my wife's Chilean sea bass was excellent. I generally love this place, but tonight it was off. We'll go back perhaps on a less busy and noisy night.

   Firebirds used to be one of our favorite places but we will not be coming back after our experience today. Our steaks were both AWFUL and sides were not much better. Our server was fantastic but would not go back to spend another 150-200 for food we can make better at home for a fraction of the cost.

   The waitress was lovely. We were seated when we should have been our order took forever and when it came, my friend ate hers, but mine was in edible. It tasted like somebody had poured a box of salt on it.

   Everything was great except we made reservations assuming we would be seated at our reservation time! So we arrived at 7:00pm for a 7:15pm reservation and didn’t get seated until 7:30pm. As they seated others with our size group that came in after us!

   Sadly our experience here this night was less than ideal. It was busy but not overly so, yet it took super long to get drinks, as well as dinner. Food was alright.. steak cook was overdone on medium rare cook but did taste good and was tender. We waited way too long for water and other drinks.

   The service was great as always. We usually think the food is great as well. Maybe they were too busy (Christmas Eve) but most of us didn’t like our meal. We had chicken tenders, Parmesan crusted chicken, filet (was almost like a bunch of pieces stuck together instead of a solid filet)and prime rib. The prime rib was good, but we didn’t eat much of the rest. Even the baked potato was lukewarm and had hard chunks in it. $250 later, and we all came home still hungry.
