   Good experience overall. We were seating at a table where the air was blowing down in the table so strong, that everything got cold quick, including us, so that’s why I can’t call it a 5. The waitress did acknowledge it and there was nothing she could do about it. The Oscar style add-on for the filet was lump style and tasted a little off but the steak itself, the veggies, the potatoes and the dessert, were all delicious.

   Busy Saturday. Very young inexperienced waiter but no worries he was very nice. Drinks took forever to come out. Ordered our food and a glass of wine together asking for both at same time. Food came. Ribeye and potatoe looked like “Ponderosa Steak House”. Thin over seasoned - Well done on one side rear on other. Sent back but I never got the steak back or the wine. Husband had sea bass but they smothered it in a shrimp sauce. Finally manager brought our wines with generous pours but it was too late. He was done eating. I was still waiting for my steak. We told manager we just wanted to leave so she agreed and comped our “meal”. Not going back. Been to Charlotte location tons and it’s well done there. Maybe they need time. They sure need more staff and better cooks. Don’t fill up tables if you can’t handle it.

   Firebirds is consistently good food and excellent service. The New York strip steak is better than Eddie V's, which is right next door, for a much more affordable price. We find the prices to be extremely reasonable and consider this our go-to restaurant when we want a healthy meal without the over-the-top prices. The service is also top-notch. We have eaten at Firebirds more than 20 times and the service is always good. It is best to make a reservation, just to ensure you get the table of your liking. The patio is a pleasant option.

   The food and drinks were very good. There were 6 of us. We like to eat together. We did not get our food at the same time. Kind of hard to eat when someone at you table doesn’t get their order. We were told the server had not entered the orders properly. The two messed up orders came when everyone else was about finished. Another dinner had to be sent back because the steak was well done and not medium rare. Manager did come and take care of things. Worth another try as food and drinks were good.

   We have dined here several times And always have a wonderful meal. Lunch was delicious and Sam was an excellent waiter. Although it was a beautiful day, we chose to eat indoors and it was delightful. Definitely plan to return soon!

    Let me start with we have been here once before and enjoyed our prior experience. On our most recent visit it was awful and do not plan to ever return. We were seated at a small two person table. The waiter was slow and we hardly saw him. We had to flag others down to go locate him. Our dishes weren’t picked up when we were done (after appetizers, etc.). To the point in which we basically had them hanging off our small table because we were out of room. Keep in mind we could look past the above as it was a Saturday night. Then comes the part we were really disappointed. My wife ordered a filet cooked medium (pink center). When she cut into her steak, it was raw and I mean raw (purple and cold). We had to ask the hostess who was hanging out to go track our waiter down after a few moments hoping he would check on us but that was wishful thinking. The waiter apologized but requested my wife keep her baked potato and use the ketchup plate to scrap it into before taking the steak back to the kitchen. A few minutes later the manager returned and placed a plate in front of my wife and said here you go it’s fixed. IT WAS THE SAME EXACT STEAK they originally served her (she had butterflied it to show them how raw it was in the middle and had cut a piece off the end, and the bacon still hanging on all mangled at this point). We were shocked to say the least, the manager left. So my wife who was hungry cut into it and yet nothing had changed with level of rawness from prior. We asked for our waiter to please get the manager, we just wanted our check so we could leave. The manager then comes over with a new steak in a to-go box (we didn’t ask for that). We thanked him but declined it. Trust was already lost at this point. It is very unfortunate on how this was handled and then on top of that the poor level of service overall. We don’t intend on ever return which is unfortunate.
