    We gad a reservation for 7:00 - arrived around 6:45 on Tuesday, Nov 19th. I honestly have never encountered a more inhospitable host . She did not smile and had an exceedingly rude demeanor. She abruptly told us they were working on tables, so we waited about ten minutes. I heard her say my name to another couple and waved that it was me. She proceeded to admonish me for not answering her phone call from 2 minutes before in the billion decible room and marched us off to our table. Yuck - really poor. She should be fired.

    Been there multiple times over the years, always great. This visit, staff was friendly but not good, overall. Really disappointing. Food was fine. Overall, not someplace I’d return. And I chose the location based on past visits.

    It was a first for me and my family we got a nice spot and service was wonderful very attentive and got a nice dessert for my dad for his bday thanks again ❤️

    It’s was my ladies birthday and every staff member that walked by our table said happy birthday to her. Great service and great food. Will be making sure to eat there once a month for now on.

    Upscale restaurant. Went with friends and hand round table. A bit noisy to be able to carry on a conversation so that all could hear one another.

    We have been dining at Firebirds wood fired grill since they opened and I can honestly say they are my favorite restaurant in all of the Des Moines Iowa area. If something isn’t right, they will make it right to your satisfaction!

    Beautiful evening with family. Fans made the restaurant too cool for comfort so staff listened to our concerns and reset temp controls. We tried several new items and were very pleased with our selections. The respect and dignity they show our veterans is admirable and very much appreciated. We look forward to many more future meals at the Firebird.
