   I love Firkin, I’ve been visiting Firkin regularly for over 20 years. Great place. My only complaint about my recent Saturday night visit, the server Nicky was very slow, at the beginning to take our first drink order. She looked very busy with other tables, so that may have been why. I was on a date and was bragging about how much I like Firkin, so getting the slow initial service (we waited almost 10 minutes for our first drink order to be taken) was frustrating and embarrassing. She did redeem herself after our initial order (she even brought my date a sample of a beer my date requested, even though it was not requested - very thoughtful of her), so the service was good after that point.

   The food is just so consistently good. Had the shrimp dejonge and it was delicious and quite a large portion for an appetizer. The shrimp tacos were equally as good and hefty. Service was wow. Waiter was always there when needed and food came soon after ordering.

   Plenty of food and beer choices to choose from. I was especially excited for the Mardi Gras specials. I got the etoufee and my companions had either the beef burgers or a bean burger (for the vegetarian in the group). The food was outstanding. As always, the atmosphere is Firkin is so festive.

   Met friends from out of town for dinner. Fantastic server that helped us make our food selection and they were perfect. Very pleasant and attentive. Perfect spot to get together with friends for a great meal.

   Overall, disappointing. Grilled cheese was not good. French onion soup was way too salty. Service was poor. Never brought ketchup for fries or refilled water or asked about second beverages. Waited long time for bill. Warm cocktail sauce not good. Far too thick caused by heat.

   Nice place and good food. Seats near the Milwaukee Ave windows can be cold and drafty on a winter eve. Our server was excellent and food very good

   All in all-good place to go eat. Chicken Parmesan sandwich was a little bland but Black Bean burger was really good. Love the ambience, service was excellent
