Fishwife offers a menu of award-winning American cuisine with a Caribbean accent since 1986. With many daily specials, fresh Seafood as well as homemade pastas and dishes for children, there is something for everyone. Daily specials spotlight fresh catch and seasonal fish. Desserts are homemade as well. The atmosphere is casual with a FULL BAR and friendly service, making it a great place to visit with groups and family. Just a short walk from Asilomar Beach and Conference Center. Some of the most popular dishes are Clam chowder, Calamari, Alfredo Combo, Green Lip Mussels, Barramundi and famous homemade Key lime pie. You can also enjoy surf and turf or gluten-free options like the vegetarian bowl.

    My three sisters and I had a great time. Our server was a delight and shared that we are of families of 11 children . My visits over the last 30 plus years have been grand. Thank you

    Crab cakes were mushy and mostly filler, not great the coconut shrimp needed more coconut. The pesto pasta was over creamy and not a lot of flavor. The cocktail ordered was $17 and the same one was $16 If ordered after dinner ? Too bad. Used to be a great place

    No complaints about the food, which was very good. The service was outstanding!This is a small restaurant, so tables are close together. Out of the way location and streets were very dark and some narrow as well. Recommend taking a ride share service.

    Friendly greeting upon arrival. Our waitress was knowledgeable about the beer & wine options. Allowed us time to enjoy. Again very knowledgeable about the menu and specials. The lobster ravioli as a special was amazing; and the Sole Piccata excellent. Overall, great options on the menu. It’s on our list every time we visit Monterey!!

    I've always enjoyed the Fishwife's take on barramundi and calamari, and the pairing with black beans, rice and a bit of salsa makes them even better! My wife ordered pasta primavera and added grilled prawns and was very happy with her dish. Wine list (by the glass) features several local wineries (Hahn, Bernardus, Schied). Service was professional, friendly and attentive!

    Four of us went on a Saturday night---I highly recommend reservations---and the place was packed! Happily, we were seated almost immediately. Our waiter, Jose, was cheerful and fun but also very professional. Each of us loved our food! The wine list was terrific and had something for everyone. Our water glasses were refilled as needed. There was a friendly vibe there, very homey. We felt the prices were very fair, considering the quality of the food. We hadn't been to Fish Wife for a while, but we'll be going back right away!
