   Usual excellent service from Sona and excellent food. This place is a real local gem in my opinion. My dog Ben and I regularly walk the nine mile return distance from Sellindge to have lunch here with a friend. Lovely place. Today tried one of their own pies (beef ) with cabbage and creamed potatoes followed by home made crumble and ice cream and a coffee. Also had a couple of beers. Excellent value 👍 Kevin

   Great food and a friendly welcome - plus a superb bottle of wine. We were unlucky to arrive at the same time as a table of 12 so the service was understandably a little slow but otherwise, everything was great. Would not hesitate to recommend.

   Five Bells is a gorgeous pub and we've been many times. This the first time speed of service has been an issue. We were seated and given menus promptly but it was then 30 minutes before anyone came to take a drinks order, let alone food. We had to walk up to the bar to get a waiter to come over. It then went fine from there but we didnt order pudding as we could seem from other tables that service speed hadn't improved. Great food and atmosphere though - just hope that service was a blip.....

   The food took over an hour to arrive despite us ordering very quickly cos we had children with us. But otherwise great.

   Visited for Sunday lunch which was delicious, roast beef was cooked to perfection and very tender , crispy potato’s and probably one of the best cauliflower cheeses I’ve had a a side. Good portions. Shared a crumble for desert which was very tasty . Great advice on wine. service was friendly and attentive . Thanks to Ksi & the team .

   We had a lovely meal for my husband’s birthday. Relaxed and cosy ambience, great food and excellent service. We will definitely return.

   We go here a lot and that’s because everything about the Five Bells is outstanding. Wonderful food, wonderful staff and such a lovely atmosphere. Sonia is really lovely and so is ‘D’Artagnan’ great staff and a credit to the Five Bells. Everything is scrupulously clean and tidy. Thoroughly enjoyed and thoroughly recommended. We always take home a couple of their pizzas too!

    Lovely evening.. food amazing! The bar staff could be a bit more attentive in coming round to see if guests needed more drinks.. we’d have had 2/3 more drinks otherwise. Lovely atmosphere and a great place.
