   In one sentence, Fixe was amazing. By far one of the greatest meals I’ve ever had. There are many things I want to try on the menu, but the biscuits are the best biscuits I’ve ever had. 10/10 top notch service and top notch food.

   Girlfriend wanted to celebrate our anniversary here. We booked reservations 5 days in advance. When we arrived at the restaurant we were told our table was not ready that they were still waiting for the guests to get up (we were 12 minutes early to our 7pm reservation). Instead we had to wait until exactly 7pm to be taken to a different table despite the restaurant only being half full. I was disappointed with their limited wine menu for single glass pours. They do have a decent wine list but only when purchasing the entire bottle. Drinks: We ordered a cocktail and a glass of wine. We watched as the drinks were made and sat at the bar with no one running them over to our table. We ended up ordering our food before we had to remind the waitress of our drinks. Appetizers: We ordered the biscuits and they were absolutely incredible. This was the only positive about the night. Entrees: My girlfriend ordered the lobster and crawfish pot pie. The fish tasted frozen which I guess is fair given both are out of season. However for a scratch kitchen that claims to make everything fresh and to order this was disappointing. I ordered the filet mignon, which had absolutely no sear and no seasoning. The side of “Salt+Pepper Fries”were overcooked and over-seasoned with salt and under-seasoned with pepper. Dessert: Lastly, we ordered the Blackberry Crumble for dessert which was basically a hot blackberry soup with how liquidity it was. I understand that a crumble does not have as defined a shape as a pie; however, this was basically blackberries with juice poured over them served in a cast iron dish. Definitely not worth the price of a $200 dinner bill.

   Had an interesting experience on New Year’s Eve to say the least, but they went above and beyond to make it right and I will say some of the best food I’ve ever eaten, especially brunch. The staff is 5 star, I would highly recommend!!!!

   It was a perfect venue to get together with friends for NYE dinner. The fried chicken, grits, biscuits, and Old Cuban (bartender’s recommendation) were spectacular. And the pecan pie to end the meal was as good as any I’ve ever had.
