Food came out exceptionally fast, although drinks and side was missing but service was a bit slow. But overall, ambiance is welcoming, food is really comforting and taste great. Would come again for my fixins!

We were greeted by the friendly hostess and seated promptly in a comfortable area. Our waitress, Jamelah came right over to take care of us. Our orders were placed and our group of 7 was served in a short time. It was a first visit for some and everyone was satisfied with their choices. Some placed orders to go for family members. Excellent menu. Service is premium. We'll be back soon.

Our food was cold and our waiter was horrible. His name was Prince. We informed him that we had another engagement that we had to get to and time was of the essence so we needed to get our order in in order to eat so we could leave . Our food was brought to us. He never checked back to see how our food was. He was always with other tables. I had to ask for a container to go from a different server. We had to ask for the Check too many times and we had to ask another server to ask Prince to bring the Check and then the change back because we needed to leave. He took our money meaning the change and he went to wait on another table with it instead of bringing it back to our table. This was our first time there and our last. I’ve eaten at the restaurant in Sacramento and the food and the service was excellent in Sacramento. Nothing like it was at this restaurant very disappointed. That’s why he was left a portion of the tip because he did a portion of the job. In my opinion he didn’t deserve a tip at all because he didn’t treat us as if he wanted a tip. You can’t charge people a lot of money for something that is not up to the level that are being charged in my honest opinion.

I’d ordered the Gumbo entree and it was warm cool temperature, so I sent it back to have it warmed but the waitstaff took my dish over to another table to take their order. As he completed the order I asked him to bring me a new dish because it was open to all of those guest. He said that was his intention. Well needless to say, the new dish came back jaunty the same temperature. So I just took my dish home

Great food, fast service. Drinks were a little too sweet. The loud gospel music made it difficult to hold a conversation

Not a good experience this time but I think it was because we had a bad server.

We had a reservation for two but waited 15–20 minutes without anyone greeting us or taking our drink order after we were seated. Two staffers were made aware of our wait, however, when service finally began, things didn’t improve—it took a while to get our food and one order came out wrong. To save time, I removed the unwanted ingredients from my order and requested the missing ingredients on a separate plate. The dish I ordered, a crispy fish sandwich, was a major letdown. While the exterior was perfectly crispy, the inside was undercooked, too soft and mushy. By the time it would have taken to correct the order, the rest of the table would have already finished eating. After a long day of travel, I forced myself to eat half the sandwich. My experience was disjointed and frustrating. The waiter saw my lack of emotion regarding our dining experience and discounted the bill a few dollars. Honestly, he should have comped the entire entree. Overall, our meals, service and cooking mistakes were sub-par. Disappointing and not worth the trouble of a second visit.
