   If you like salty food, this place is for you. Valentine’s Day was the day prior but we were still stuck with a Valentine’s Day limited menu. Everything was cooked nicely but it was a lot of salt. I especially enjoyed the lobster. My whipped potatoes were not hot. Tepid at best. My husband did not care for his meal at all. His grits were old and veal was chewy. The drinks were good. Service left much to be desired as she never checked on us after we got our food until it was to bring the bill. The hostess clearly hates her job. Not friendly.

   I love food and love trying new places. I am not a picky person, either. I chose Flint because the place was close to my house, it looked really nice in the pictures. We planned for a nice evening and were dressed nicely for a Valentine's date. I will say the drinks were good but very expensive for what we got (I expected this since it was at the Fint). She had a Grey Goose Cape Cod, and I had an Old Fashioned with Larceny Bourbon. For starters my wife ordered a Caesar salad, and it had brown, wilted lettuce in it (she picked it out without complaint). I ordered the Lobster Bisque, and it was good, not great. My wife played it safe for dinner and ordered a Chicken Fried steak with smashed potatoes. It was good, but we could have gotten just as good, if not better, at Del Rancho. I ordered the Duck, it was a French name, so I have no idea what it was called. The sweet sauce was the only redeeming factor in the meal. However, overall, it truly was subpar. I had never had duck before, so I ordered it at a fine dining establishment. My dad always said duck tasted like mud, and unfortunately, he was right. There was no enjoyable part of the meat. The wing and leg were disgusting, and the breast was barely edible. I ended up leaving about 3/4 of a $48 dish sitting on the table. FYI, it did not come with any side, just half of a duck, some sauce, and a sprig of rosemary. The server came by several times and asked how things were, but since we were on a date, I didn't say anything. I think he should have known by the fact I ate very little it was not good. Anyway, I was not impressed with the Flint Kitchen. I talked to friends about it, and they heard the same thing. However, they were told breakfast and lunch are supposed to be excellent.    Nestled in the heart of Oklahoma city is Flint restaurant. Upscale, but not pretentious, with a kiss of nostalgic class that will have you not only singing their praise but going back for more. The atmosphere is elegant, and the food is delicious with ample servings. Although there is no kid menu, Flint is kid friendly. ADA compliant. Parking can be tricky, but there is valet service. Moderately to high priced. Excellent wine, cocktail, and mocktail selection.

   The Valentine's specials were lovely and the cute bouquet of flowers option was a special touch. The chicken fried steak was tender and the mashed potatoes had a nice chipotle-like flavor. The french onion soup was perfect. The tuna appetizer was light and I used it as my primary meal. The pear salad was the perfect size with lemony notes. We shared a dessert with a creme brûlée cheesecake that was a rich finish.

   This was our second time at FLINT and we’ll definitely return. Our waitress was lovely (and knowledgeable), it’s a nice atmosphere (quiet when we’ve been at brunch and late lunch), the drinks are perfectly crafted, and the food is delicious. Our only “complaint” was that the baby wedge salad is really more like a micro-mini salad. Please add a little more to it, we’d be just fine paying more! Also - the free valet parking for 2 hours makes this an even more appealing downtown dining option. Thank you, FLINT!

   The food was great and our server was very good as well. I do think there needs to be communication between the kitchen and servers when something is no longer available or when part of an order is not available. Other than that, it was a great experience! Would definitely recommend giving them a shot

   We went to Flint before the Thunder game. It was our first time to visit and glad we discovered it. I started off with the Calm Before the Storm, a delicious vodka drink. We then both ordered a small wedge and the jalapeño hushpuppies and they were delicious as well. I had the crab cakes and my husband ordered the chicken fried steak. The crab cakes were very good but I did not care for the aioli. My husband loved the mashed potatoes and gravy but his chicken fry was very tough which was disappointing because the breading and flavor were good. We finished with coffee and a delicious bourbon pecan pie. We will return and both try something different. They have a varied menu so several items to choose from. The ambiance was nice and our waitress was excellent.

    Great experience! Rebecca did a great job, enjoyed having the Game Day menu back and a couple of new items to choose from.
