   We arrived at the time of our booking and were told our table wasn’t ready yet, so we were seated out the back in the ‘octopus’ room which was empty and with no atmosphere. Lovely food, but they didn’t have two of the starters we ordered, and the food took a very long time to arrive. Our booking was at 7.30 and the starters didn’t arrive until nearly 9pm. They did give us a complimentary drink as way of apology. Food was delicious when it came.

   This was a fantastic venue and made for a delightful romantic meal out for my partner and me. Although a small space, the ambience was great and there wasn't too much noise even though busy. The staff were all lovely to us, and provided excellent service - friendly, attentive, and helpful. Our food was overall very good, and drawn from a generous and imaginative menu. My prawn cocktail to start was a good portion, and the seafood linguine main was rich and spicy, although the squid in it was rather overcooked. My partner reported her starter to be the best scallops she'd ever eaten, and was likewise full of praise for the skate wing main. The wine list was excellently curated, and our accompanying bottle of prosecco was sensational and very reasonably priced for a restaurant. A great experience and would love to come again.

   We had a wonderful evening in Flute - beautiful food and cocktails plus excellent service from Will. I loved the fact that there were several dairy free options to choose from. We will definitely return. Highly recommended!

   Friday is specials day and so on the menu was a nice sea bass fillet and a whole sea bream waiting with our names on them. Beautifully cooked and presented and friendly staff to look after us. Our first visit will definitely not be our last.

   We booked a table at Flute for a celebration meal. We were encouraged on booking to describe the celebration - but I don’t know why as it was never mentioned again. The decoration is nice and the restaurant has a nice feel to it. The food is excellent and was thoroughly enjoyed by all of us. But the service was inattentive - even ordering drinks took forever. And dessert cutlery plonked in the middle of the table with a “help yourself”. And despite arriving early evening into an almost empty room we were placed right next to the door on a table that felt crowded by people coming and going at the same time as being far too close to the couple having a romantic meal next to my elbow. My advice to the owners would be to train the staff, make sure there is always one of the team in the restaurant rather than at the bar and remove one table. That would make all the difference. A nice meal but not the celebration we’d hoped for.

   Really lovely food. Even sides are imaginative and well cooked. Nice small menu indicating everything fresh and cooked to order. Nice wine list too.

   The service was prompt, friendly and engaging. The food was very good, quality of the fish was spot on. The portions of each dish was right for us. Our main courses of hake in a hot and sour broth and seafood linguine were inventive and delightful. A very pleasant evening complemented by the staff, who were excellent.

   For a restaurant that has a predominance of fish on it's menu, the shell fish shouldn't have required to be sent back as they were unopened when served. Some of the waiting staff didn't appear to know what they were doing.
