   I’ve been to other Brazilian steakhouses before, and I was very excited to visit Fogo because I’ve heard great things. Unfortunately, this place did not live up to the expectations at all. The main reasons my wife and I love treating ourselves to Brazilian steakhouses are the food, the service, and the overall experience. The Top Sirloin and Lamb Chops were great! However, everything else was mediocre at best. The Garlic Steak, which is usually my go-to, was severely under-seasoned, and the Filet Mignon was just OK. The service was also underwhelming. While the staff weren’t rude—which I’d consider the best part—compared to other Brazilian steakhouses, even those that cost less, the servers weren’t attentive at all. The meat didn’t come out as quickly, and the Gauchos didn’t listen or pay attention to requests. By the way, if you enjoy Chicken Hearts like I do, Fogo doesn’t offer them! I initially thought it was just the Emeryville location, but after checking their website, I found they don’t serve them at all locations. In conclusion, I won’t be returning to this place because there are better options out there!

   Service is lacking. Repeatedly had to track down sever for water, food and then check. Never received bread. Requested different cuts of meat several times and would wait 20 mins

   David and Jared made our experience WONDERFUL! The food was delicious. We enjoyed the Marketplace vegetable and charcuterie bar as well as single entrees of Seabass and Salmon. The drinks were perfectly crafted. The ambiance was lively and festive, yet not overwhelming. We cannot wait to return.

   Lots of idled wait time…10 mins before seated (with quite some empty tables)…sparse visits by meat servers (5 total kinds served in a span of 1.5 hours)…then 30 mins wait for checking out (lack of server availability and many back and fore on correcting our bill when they were available). On top of very slow service, received some change of attitudes from servers and manager when used gift certificate.

   We had a reservation at 6:30 but did not get seated for an hour for a party of 4. Very unreasonable. The entryway was full of parties having the same issue.

   Christmas day! Very busy. Staff was wonderful. Lamb was amazing. Wine was fab. My only complaint was no seating while we waited for a table I am unable to stand for very long and there were no bar stools and no seating for those of us who had to wait except outside and it was cold That’s a big miss so we won’t be back unless it a very slow night

   What an amazing restaurant the service was impeccable from start to finish. They are a quality operation and the staff really cares about the presentation of food the quality and the service. What a perfect Christmas dinner for us.
