We never had a server. No one asked for our drink order or food order. We keep having to flag down a server to bring us water, drinks, and order dessert. We asked several times for the rib eye and ribs and no one ever came with them. We only got 1 tiny plate of the mashed potatoes and asked for another (since there were 6 of us), but again they never came. Then we were charged automatic gratuity even though we never had a server. Literally we had NO SERVER and only got help when we reached out and grabbed someone. The service was abysmal for a $500 meal. The meat server guys did a good job and the salad bar was good. A nice lady named Ellie help us when she walked by, and we grabbed her.

Service was horrible from the time we walked through the door. We had reservations at 4:15 for 4 people and there were not a lot of people in the restaurant. We waited as the hostess took her time talking to several people before seating us. We were seated at a small table in the bar area. We didn’t even have room to set all of our food on the table. It took them over 10 minutes before bring us our drinks. Out of the 14 different meat options on the traditional option they were only serving 4 of the 14. We had to ask for all of the other meat and then they said they had to put them on the grill to cook them. Spending over $300 for 4 people should get you better service and at least what the menu says you get. Fogo de Chao OKC needs to take lessons from the staff at Fogo de Chao Houston, TX.

We thought most of the meat was under seasoned and lacking flavor. A few cuts were really good though. And some were so salty we both literally spit them out. We were seated near the salad bar which we didn’t like, way too much traffic going in and out yet the meat servers rarely came by unless they were empty. We waited and waited for the ribeye to be served but it never came and the filet came by just once over the course of an hour. I’m convinced they only send the good cuts out once per hour and when they run out they run out. Likely won’t be coming back, Rodizio’s downtown was much tastier and better meat service.

This was our first visit to the new OKC location. It was our son’s choice for his 38th birthday. We chose to go during lunch. A friendly server came to our table. She took our drink order and arrived a few minutes later with our son’s soft drink. Twenty minutes later, the Arnold Palmer drinks my wife and I ordered still had not arrived. We told another server about it and she said she’d take care of it. Ten minutes later, still no drinks. I got a manager’s attention and told her about the drink fiasco. After requesting ours be changed to cokes, she was apologetic and got the drinks herself. I asked her why we had never seen our initial server again. She said that they use a team approach, doing various jobs. Overall, the food was fair, with a couple of meats being good. We asked for potatoes (which at other locations are offered) and was brought ten minutes later and were barely warm. Overall, the experience was a big disappointment. It appears to me that the servers have been poorly trained and supervised. My son was offered a free dessert for his birthday. After giving our sweet second server his choice, it was almost 15 minutes before it was brought to the table. When the bill was brought to the table, I swallowed hard at the almost $197 total, which included a $4.25 charge for an Arnold Palmer drink that was brought to our table well after we had received our soft drinks. Needless to say, our first experience was an expensive and massive disappointment. Final observation: Management should have done more. We have eaten at Texas de Brazil at Penn Square Mall several times. The food, service, and prices are much better.

About half of our meat was grizzly or had tendons running through it. All of meat had a great flavor. Just couldn’t actually eat it. Salad bar was great. Love the remodeling

Food was awesome. When we got it. The service was terrible. I don’t know if it was the table we were sat at but when we sat down we waited about 15 minutes before we flagged someone down just to get drinks. No one check on us or explained what were were supposed to do. We never really got our order taken. Once we got the manager involved after being there for 45 minutes they finally had the table side service come to us so we could get some meats. Again. Nothing was explained to us. No one told us about the salad bar. We had to figure everything out on our own. When we finally had enough and wanted to leave it took 3 attempts to get our bill right and took 20 minutes just to try and pay. Like I said at the beginning food was awesome. Service needs serious serious work.

It’s truly disappointing to see such a beautifully designed restaurant offer such poor service. I visited at 2 p.m. on a quiet Monday afternoon, yet it took over five minutes just to be acknowledged at the door. Finally seated, I was given cheese bread but left to figure things out on my own. When I went to the market fresh table, I found only broth and sausage in the pot that should have had black beans, and it remained that way the entire time. I requested mashed potatoes and polenta, but only received cold mashed potatoes – no polenta in sight. No one came to take my drink order, so I had to flag down a staff member filling water glasses, who then told me that the servers “all work together.” I finally ordered a tea but felt forgotten throughout the experience. Most of the time, only one gaucho was serving, doing his best to keep up with all the tables, but he was clearly overwhelmed. When I was ready to leave, I waited over 10 minutes for someone to bring my check. No one came, so I had to go in search of someone to settle my bill. Having dined at Fogo de Chao locations in other cities, I know this isn’t the standard they typically uphold. This visit was a serious letdown and left me questioning if I’d return.
