Food and service at the Park Potomac location are consistently very good. It was very loud on our visit for lunch today but it was also packed. We probably go about four times a year and have never been disappointed.

We usually love Founding Farmrts but not last night. I ordered fried chicken, and at some point the waiter came by to give us biscuits and said our meal would be delayed because the fryer was broken but is now okay. A bit later, the manager came by to see if I needed anything and I asked for a drink. Drink didn’t come and after a while I flagged down the waiter and ordered it again. My chicken came without the collard greens side dish and I was told they were out. I ordered green beans instead and after a minute was told they were out of that too. I ordered the carrots and radishes and a minute later they told me they were out of that, so I ended up with a small salad. As to my chicken, the the bread crumbs were badly overcooked and far too thickly coated on the chicken. Half my plate was covered with them by the time I finished, and not because I don’t like bread crumbs! Also, my wife ordered a salad with dressing on the side, and it came with dressing already on it AND on the side. All in all, not a good job by the kitchen.

I have been to this restaurant for years. I was disapointed that many items were not available that night. The Vegetarian selection lets you pick 3 of 6 items...well 3 were not available. Various other cocktail items were also not available. We felt like we saw the menu on line but it had little to do with what you could order. Then for the surprise birthday for my brother in law, the waitress came up and asked if he wanted his birthday strawberry with dark or milk chocolate.....considerate but there went the surprise! Don't know if I will return.

Went there for our anniversary. started off with drinks and an appetizer my wife's mai tai was not mixed just poured in a glass, my drink should have been 2 types of rum, pineapple juice, coconut, orange and nutmeg. What I got was a glass filled to the rim with crushed ice rum and coconut again not mixed all the rum on top. The crab artichoke dip was nicely proportioned but there was no crab to be found. we ordered prime rib and cedar plank sea bass with a side of collard greens. the seabass was the smallest piece of fish I have ever seen and collard greens were not greens but cabbage, which they took back and eventually brought the collard greens. Bright side my wife had a beautifully cooked prime rib and sweet potatoes. we ordered desert beignets and coconut cream pie. the beignets arrived, enough for 2 and my pie was now chocolate pie. The waiter did come back and bring the correct pie, which was really good. I'm not sure I would return for another meal, with high prices comes the expectation of good service and better food. I'm not sure we had either last night.

As usual the service was good and food was tasty. I was there for brunch and the portions overall are generous. However both I and and another diner at our table ordered the Strawberries and Cream waffle. Each waffle came with a single strawberry and tiny glob of cream. We asked the waiter for more and he brought one single additional strawberry- not even one for each of us. Needless to say, that’s a pretty big disappointment considering what I expected. Wondering how many items this applies to you. Overall a disappointing meal.

I normally never write poor reviews or complain about bad food, but the dinner that we had last night was absolutely awful. They forgot some of the components of our appetizers, and the entrees tasted like they came pre-packaged and from frozen. The sides we received were bigger than the actual protein. It was such a waste of money, and I don't think we will be back.

I love founding Farmers, but I had forgotten how heavy the food generally is because I haven’t been there in awhile. I usually order an entree salad, but this time I got the chicken bolognese linguine. The fresh, house-made pasta was perfectly cooked, but the sauce was much creamier than what I think of as “bolognese.” Then I ordered the ice cream flight for dessert, thinking it would be four mini cones. Nope, it’s four single scoop cones… perfect for four people. (We were, in fact, a party of four, but we all ordered our own dessert.) Next time I will order more strategically!

We have eaten in and ordered take out meals several times from FF and have enjoyed all of them. We made reservations for Valentine's Day dinner. There was a delay in getting our food because it was so busy, but our server, Douglas, acknowledged and apologized for the delay and kept informing us of the status of our meals (many restaurants do not do this, so it was much appreciated). My husband's meal was fine, but the pasta in my entree was not cooked properly. I ate less than half of my meal. We brought this to the attention of the manager. She agreed with our comments and said she would inform the kitchen. She offered to bring another entree, but we declined because it was so late. She stated she would remove the charge for the pasta meal from our bill and offered a free desert, which we accepted and took home with us. This incident will not deter us from eating at FF again because their meals have always been good before and the service was great. It was also refreshing to eat at a restaurant with so much integrity. The management promptly provided several options to remediate the issue. This attention to customer service is not always seen in restaurants, but we saw it at FF and we really appreciated it.
