   The service was excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. The food in general was very good. Some of the vegetables were a bit soft and cauliflower cheese an odd colour . The meat and potatoes, parsnips and red cabbage were all very good. Value for money amazing. Would recommend.

   Excellent all round, the food for the money is unbelievable and really well cooked/prepared. Service is grand and space at the table well thought out. We will be back.

   The main dish was fine. The dessert was a disaster, I was given a very small amount of ice cream and on asking for more was told the rest of the ice cream was melting but gave me some runny ice cream anyhow. Although not having any dessert, was charged for it anyhow. Not a pleasant evening and will have to think very carefully about going to the Fox again

   Had the new fish cake starter advertised on Facebook which was absolutely delicious. Steak for main was cooked and presented to perfection. Chocolate brownie finished my meal off nicely.

   Food was fabulous, service was excellent. Only downside was it was quite draughty. Heating wasn't on. My friend sat in her coat for the latter part of the meal a she felt cold.

   Classy and welcoming country pub with beautiful decor and ambience. I especially liked the fox theme running throughout. It was nicely trimmed up for Christmas when we visited. Food was hot and tasty and served on hot plates which I prefer. Staff were very attentive and accommodating. Prices were very reasonable - a 3 course meal for the price of a starter elsewhere and it is all good quality produce. I can't fault the place. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone.

   Very disappointed - turkey was very dry, roast potatoes were hard and dry - been cooked and kept warm far too long - other vegetables were also poor as again had been kept warm far too long. The pie of the day was awful - it was not a pie by any means - it was two pieces of puff pastry with a couple of spoonfuls of potatoes, 3 pieces of lamb and a little gravy in between- if we have not been with friends I would have sent it back. Two choices of sweets were missing and the alternatives offered were fruit cake or eaton mess.

    Great evening food great quality and value let down by roast potatoes like bullets and leather. Have been here several times and each time roasters have been poor . What a shame otherwise great place
