We had dinner at Freddie’s for Valentine’s Day. They had a prix fixe menu with three courses, plus a little amuse bouche and a complementary glass of champagne. Everything was delicious and the service was great. The owner/chef, Frédéric, came out and chatted with everyone. I had cream of butternut squash soup for a starter and my partner had a tomato salad. We both had roast duck and crème brûlée.

We went for a romantic Valentine's Day meal. Ambiance was not very romantic, for a large table with kids greeted us & and a small table by the door was our table. A prix fixe menu was advertised but no option to order separately. Mai tai drinks were excellent. Tomato salad & escargot were very nice but smallish portions. Entres were a wonderful Baramundi dish & elk medallions which lacked much flavor. Our desserts came quickly, along with the check, making us feel quite rushed. Overall, the experience was not excellent, which was expected given the price & previous reviews.

Not sure what all these 5 star reviews are stating but our experience left us sick! I am dispersing this food experience in my toilet as I am writing this review. Perhaps my stomach is not ready for French food but this was a terrible Valentines day. Even our server was unhelpful and looked annoyed the whole time. We asked questions since the menu had french words in it and we don’t speak french. Definitely over priced and something my wife and I will not be trying again. Also chef seems defensive and not taking accountability from feedback from paying customers’ experiences.

We love this place but it’s too noisy when the place is full. They should play some background music. I’d soften the lighting too.

This evening, we embarked on our inaugural culinary adventure at Freddie's Kitchen, and it was an absolute triumph. Our evening commenced with a delightful prelude of escargots and onion soupe, a symphony of flavors that transported us instantly to the charming bistros of France. Exquisitely prepared, they were a testament to culinary perfection. As a main course, I indulged in a succulent Australian sea bass, while my wife savored a delectable vegetarian Wilmington. And as a special touch, the chef graciously presented us with the most exquisite beef tartare I've encountered within a 100-mile radius – a truly unexpected and delightful surprise. For dessert, we both succumbed to the allure of the mousse au chocolat. The rich, velvety texture, crafted with the finest Valrhona chocolate from Tain l'Hermitage (a place that holds a special place in my heart as my childhood home), was simply divine. Tonight's dining experience at Freddie's Kitchen was a true journey to France, even while nestled in the heart of Palm Springs. We have undoubtedly discovered a culinary gem where we can consistently indulge in exquisite culinary delights. We eagerly anticipate our return to explore the other enticing dishes on the menu. Bravo, Chef Frederic!

What a beautifully written and heartfelt review, thank you Farouk! It’s an absolute joy to hear that your evening at Freddie’s Kitchen was such a wonderful and memory-evoking experience. Knowing that each dish, from the escargots to the mousse au chocolate, captured the essence of Chef's French heritage makes us incredibly proud. Chef Frederic and our team take great care in crafting every plate, and it’s truly rewarding to know his passion shone through. Your kind words mean the world to us, and we can’t wait to welcome you back to explore more of what our kitchen has to offer. Merci beaucoup for sharing your experience—we look forward to your next visit!
