Who ever said that to eat vegan and earth friendly food you need to renounce the delicacies of traditional Italian cuisine?
Our Chef Alessandra D'Angelo moved to Australia from Sicily in 2009 and she has been working incessantly on vegetarian and vegan recipes since then.

At Funghi e Tartufo, she have turned plant-based food into something so delicious that you won't desire anything else!

In a converted 19th century warehouse in the heart of Melbourne CBD, Funghi e Tartufo – meaning Mushrooms and Truffle in honour of their signature dish – will offer you a unique experience leaving you breathless.

The inspiration is traditional Italian and the vision is a modern and earth friendly way to marry deliciousness with plant based food.

Spent a wonderful Christmas Day with my family here. Food was delicious, service was attentive and the price was surprisingly low considering it was Christmas day. Will definitely dine here again.

The service and the ambiance was fantastic. We ordered the gnocchi and the lasagna which were tasty and filling. We ordered mocktails to drink but it wasn’t the best value - too expensive for what we were getting. Overall a brilliant place and will come back again!

Always a lovely time! Knowing we can choose easily from a menu with a lot of variety just makes for an enjoyable and stress free time - not just for special occasions although every time we come here it becomes a great occasion! Thank you!

'Funghi e Tartuffo' is the best plant based dining experience in Melbourne's CBD. Where else can you find Italian waiters serving in an Italian restaurant in Melbourne :) I dined with two non vegan friends and both of them enjoyed their meals, as well as the experience of dining outside in Hardware Lane on a warm evening. It will be my go to vegan dining venue from now on.
