Our reservations were for 7:30 we were sat right on time. Our server comes takes our drink order and the drinks came very quickly. 25 minutes pass our server kept passing us and never came back to take our order. We were greeted by another server and she was great. We ordered our apps they came out in a timely manner. we did the Rockefeller oysters (so much spinach and they were cold) French onion soup (good flavor the cheese was so hard and clumpy we just took it out). We finally order our entrees and sides. Two filets mignon ordered 1 medium rare other medium Sides we did cream spinach and truffle fries. 45 min later no food still waitress kept apologizing saying the kitchen is behind bc of big parties there (there were only 1 big party) they were paying their bill as we were eating our apps. 1 hour later food comes out steak is so hard and burnt no flavor at all! Truffle fries WERE NOT truffle they were basic fries with a sprinkle of cheese!!! Cream spinach was so cold and had NO FLAVOR. For a very gorgeous restaurant I will say I will never be back and highly do not recommend.

We had decent sized party, we arrived 5 mins prior reservation time and got drinks at bar and were seated as soon as our drinks were done. The host station staff were friendly and prompt, the bartender was phenomenal and made great suggestions. At the table, we had a trainee server and she was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The trainer on the other hand was condescending to the guests and to the trainee. He dressed her down in front of us for things that didn’t matter like man-splaining that the guests who would be sharing the tomahawk would not need to keep the plates saying “she needed to take them as they would obviously get new plates and everyone else would obviously get their food on their own plates” and “walk faster” when she had barely had two seconds to move. The main server asked at beginning of service asked if had been there before and we said no and the asked if we wanted still or sparkling water. We all said still, assuming we were getting tap water. He did not explain that we were paying $7 per bottle of water. We didn’t even realize it was not tap water until they had refilled our glasses enough times that he then said “okay folks, you still have some water left in your latest bottle here but let me know if you would like me to crack you open another bottle, to which we said no thank you. As for the food, the filet mignon was cooked perfectly and had good flavor, absolutely no complaints, asparagus, fingerling potatoes, crawfish Mac n cheese and all other sides were great. The burgers ordered were good too. The lobster ravioli was well prepared and sauce was delicious. The tomahawk when advertised as 36 oz is misleading, especially when the server says it would easily be shared among 3-4 adults. This is inaccurate as that 36oz must be while still on bone as they cut it from the bone and was served up which equated to maybe 3 oz per person for 3 people. It also was not all medium rare as ordered. Overall not worth the almost $600 bill.

It’s got a great bar out front with a separate bar menu and happy hour, special drinks reduced to $11 for the happy hour and best expresso martini I’ve ever had

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY IN THIS GOD AWFUL RESTAURANT!!!! My wife and I enjoy good food. From bargain restaurants to expensive restaurants and everything in between. We are regulars at our local Ruth's Chris Steak house, but I wanted to try a new place. Looked up the top Steak Houses in New Orleans and GAIA was one of them. I love crabcakes. Houston's is a favorite place for 98% jumbo lump crabmeat. The ones we had at GAIA was 98% breading. I looked at the photos on their website and the crabcakes we were served did not remotely resemble the food in the photos. We ordered the Tomahawk Steak. Steak came to us lukewarm, no bone, no juice from the steak on the plate and very little seasoning if any at all. Very disappointing!! At other high end restaurants like Peter Lugar in Brooklyn, the waiters bring out the steak and cut the meat for you. They present the food to you in a way that absolutely justifies the exorbitant amount of money they charge for their restaurant experience and I am more than happy to pay the price with no problem whatsoever! We enjoy great service and are very liberal with the amount of tips we pay for great service. Added a lobster tail. It was served with no butter to dip it in. The waiter says it was cooked with butter so they did not provide the dipping butter. I couldn't believe what I was experiencing. I was very unsatisfied, but our waitress was unbothered. I held my tongue, paid the bill and left. We will NEVER EVER even think about going back to this place again. I have never written a review of a restaurant before, but this horrible experience required me to offer my feelings about our visit there. I spent $271 and left with the worst restaurant experience I have ever had.

It is worth going out of your way for! This amazing steakhouse is right on the parade route during Mardi Gras. Your Uber might not get close, but it is worth a block or two of walking.

What an amazing restaurant. We had the best French Onion Soup ever! I will travel back to New Orleans just for that soup! Yum!! The entire meal was delicious. We had the Gaia Special for two, the butter cooked tenderloin was cooked table side. It was melt in your mouth delicious! The sides were chose were the crawfish Mac n cheese and sautéd mushrooms with the dark chocolate fondue for desert! Our waitress, Jasmine, was the cutest.. so friendly and helpful! She definitely contributed to our wonderful dinner and evening! I would give 10 stars overall if I could!
