We decided to name our second venue ‘Ganymede’ after the largest Moon of Jupiter. We here at The LPC also value legacy and know that 139 Ebury Street, in its previous incarnation, was named The Ebury Wine Bar – an institution. Thus, as to give a nod to its heritage, we believe the name Ganymede is apt, as in Greek Mythology – Ganymede was a Trojan Aristocrat who was kidnapped by Zeus while the King of the Gods was in the form of an eagle and Ganymede was taken to the top of Mount Olympus to become ‘the Wine Pourer/Cupbearer to the Gods for all eternity’.

Went to Ganymede last night for a festive get together with some work friends and unfortunately it wasn't the greatest. The menu is that of a high end gastropub with some quite interesting dishes but what was served lacked the skill and the execution to match. I had the octopus and potato salad to start which was quite bland and lacked anything to bring it to life. However the hamachi sashimi was very good from what I heard. For main, most of went for the steak which was quite disappointing. Two of us ordered medium and received steaks that were very well done. The others ordered medium rare which they received but there really weren't greatest of steaks. The portion of fries that they came with were tiny and they also came with a large red onion that had been partially cooked. I think the winners were those that went with the fish dishes. For pudding I had the hot chocolate mousse but I think it was actually a fondant that had been overcooked and was quite dry. Some of the group went for the Basque cheesecake which was also a bit disappointing and in this round the winner was the sticky toffee pudding which was moist and fluffy. The wines and champagne we ordered were all very good so no complaints there. As for the service, the lead waitress was friendly and attentive but the younger boy and girl working could really use some training about the importance of good service. She was quite rude and disinterested and with him, it was very difficult to get his attention. So not a great experience, especially for a venue that is positioning itself as quite upmarket and with a matching price tag but fortunately the company and wine meant we still had a nice time.

Lovely atmosphere and very fun atmosphere. Good wine list and great service. My husband wasn’t thrilled at the chicken pie but my curry was excellent. The creamed leek portion was minute and at £5+ seemed a little overpriced. I liked it, husband didn’t but overall I think it was good fun.

The Sunday roast is very good although has gone down hill slightly since opening, the service can definitely be improved.

Love eating here. It’s a shame you’re not kid friendly though. You should get high chairs and a changing station. It’s 2024.

Came here for a Sunday roast. Very average, nothing worth coming back for honestly.

A wonderful little bar and restaurant. Very friendly and professional staff, with a lovely ambiance. Very close to Victoria, so perfect for our family get together, with some catching a late train.

We came for a Sunday roast. The food was good, but the service was below our expectations. We have been waiting for a food for over 1.5 hours. It was a minimal interaction between the tables and the waitresses.

Beautifully designed restaurant, polite staff and delicious food, especially the scallop starter and the amazing bread served. We had to move tables as there was a loud vibration underfloor and slow service too. Would definitely come back fir the excellent lunch menu.

The chef and staff went over above to help me with my food allergies and intolerances resulting in a delicious meal. My husband loved the tagliatelle
