Situated in the heart of Farnham’s historic town centre but nestled within its own private gardens, The Bush is an independent hotel that has been welcoming guests through its doors since 1618.

Offering Breakfast, Lunch, Afternoon Tea, Dinner and a full Bar Menu, the Bush Hotel is the perfect place for any occasion.

The Oak Lounge, which dates back to the 15th century and features historic panelling and roaring fires, is the perfect spot for casual dining or relaxing with a coffee or cocktail. The Garden Restaurant, a quintessential Georgian morning room with a modern twist, offers a more formal dining setting and a beautiful space for larger events and parties. Our Garden Terrace and Gardens offer summer sun.

Our menus have vegan and gluten free options and can cater for specific dietary requirements upon request. Parking is available at the Hotel but spaces are limited.

Join us for a traditional Bush Afternoon Tea served within the hotel or outside on the terrace during the summer months. Our Afternoon Tea menu includes an assortment of homemade sandwiches, a selection of cakes supplied and made by our sister company, Petite Patisserie. Guests will also enjoy freshly baked scones with cream and jam along with a selection of teas, infusions, or coffee. Afternoon tea will be served Wednesday – Sunday. Please notify us on booking if you have any special dietary requirements.

The restaurant is a local gem and such a wonderful setting and location. The food choices were excellent and catered for people with all tastes. But, to top it all the staff were incredible especially Shivy, as she could not be more attentive. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough.

We were well looked after by the staff although not much in the way of an atmosphere. We ordered from the festive menu and everything just tasted of salt. All in all meh….. probably wouldn’t go back which is a shame because it’s nicely decorated.

We arrived for a family Sunday lunch. There were 7 of us and we arrived slightly early but this was no trouble and we were seated a few minutes early. Service was good - and the Sunday roasts were great with plenty of vegetables and giant Yorkshire Puddings. Very very good.

We enjoyed an excellent meal at The Bush Hotel Farnham. I have several food allergies and the chef was able to accommodate them - thank you! The food was fresh and delicious. Service was outstanding. The restaurant is charming!

Overall rating of 4 out of 5 stars (very good) and I would recommend going here. The best aspects of the restaurant are the ambience (lovely view from the window of the restaurant and the greenery inside the restaurant), the service and the noise level. I have only dropped a star for the quality of food, as well as the value for money. I would still say that the quality of the food is very good (hence 4 stars) but not outstanding. I would go here again.

The room and venue is beautiful and overall the food was very good as was the waitress we had. There was a wedding on and the guests were all in reception and at the bottom of the stairs all shouting and screaming - the noise levels were very bad. They should have shut the door to the restaurant. We ordered cocktails - they were beyond bland we sent them back. Getting a refund was challenging. So some good points but some very poor that they could easily change if they cared enough.
