   Excellent all the way - modestly priced good food great drinks and beer selection and very good and friendly service !!! Great Valentine’s Day dinner with my partner !!!

   The food was wonderful. For the first time in a long time I received steak tips that were prepared to the requested doneness and were so flavorful that I did not need to add any seasoning. The services was impeccable and always with a smile.

   Staff was very welcoming as soon as we stepped foot in the door. Service was great as was the food and drink. Highly recommend!

   The server we had was incompetent which made the experience, candidly, terrible. We were the very first table in the restaurant--at 11:30 am for brunch--and one of the last to get served. The server forgot to bring milk for our coffee. She forgot to bring spoons so we could stir our coffee. She put in a salmon instead of traditional eggs benedict that I ordered--then after alerting her that it was wrong, she failed to expedite the order so that I could at least eat while my friend was also enjoying her breakfast. I asked for the eggs to be firm, not runny. They were runny. So, then she asked me if I wanted to have boiled eggs instead because the kitchen couldn't make the yolks "not runny"? Really? You would think after such a rough start, she would check on our table a little more frequently, but no! Finally, after an incredibly unacceptable amount of time, the "manager" brought my food out, but had previously taken away my fork with the incorrect meal. I had to grab silverware from a nearby table because no one came back to check on us. The food itself was mediocre. Then--after all that--we waited at least 20 minutes to get the check. Meanwhile the server was hanging in the kitchen door area, chit chatting with the manager, no less. They were all so laissez faire, apologizing, but not doing anything to improve our experience. I am a longtime Brookline resident. I will never go back there. I will never recommend it.

   I told my server I have a nut allergy and she asked me if cross contamination was ok. Ummmm….. no. Should have left after that.

   This is such a cozy spot. Always have a great time! ONLY complaint is sometimes they are missing food items/drinks... they just don't update their menu quickly enough. Still totally worth going for brunch, dinner, or drinks.

    This is the third year we've had our small office holiday party at Garrison's and it's always a very positive experience! Highly recommend! The food, drinks, and service were all first-rate!
