   We arrived in snowy Montreal to our hotel, Auberge Du Vieux Port, and dined at their next door restaurant, Gaspar Brasserie, a warm, inviting hearth, and the best onion soup I’ve had! We were eating late, but split a delicious salmon and lentil dish, very smoky and complex. We’re happy to be in Montreal!

   The charcuterie board was the best I’ve ever had! The Cornish hen was very moist and flavorful!

   My friends and I truly enjoyed our meals and the ambience of Gaspar. I had the Filet Mignon and we shared the cod fritters. My friends both had Salmon and they reported it was quite tasty. I loved my dish; the filet mignon was both tender and tasty. The service was also exceptional. Our waitress, Marie, was attentive and informative as well. I will definitely be going back to try some other dishes.

   Great experience & exceptional service from Dominic, truly delightful. We started with 2 appetizers, Burrata & Grilled Octopus. Both absolutely delicious but I favored the octopus. My coworker and I both ordered the filet mignon- medium rare. They were cooked perfectly. Other coworker ordered short ribs over risotto, he thoroughly enjoyed it. Hoping to revisit on our next stay.

   Second time eating in this restaurant. Both times were very enjoyable. This was a really nice date night. Our service was excellent and we had really great booth for last night of vacation romantic dinner.

    Our waitress was attentive & kind. The food was fabulous & portions were surprisingly large. The mussels were delicious as was the cauliflower steak entree. The creme brulee was also wonderful for dessert. The staff was very helpful & accommodating with gluten free options. It’s a lovely restaurant with a unique menu. Would love to return to try other menu items as everything sounded delicious! Highly recommend!
