The George in Woodford is a friendly and lively local in the heart of the community, with its great drinks and even better foo, during the day we are a place for family and friends to relax. During the evening the atmosphere becomes more lively as the music goes up. we have over 200 years of history here why not come and make some yourself! We have a huge range of craft beers, cask ales, premium lagers, and ciders but we also have a spirit emporium packed with gins, rum, and tequila and we can’t forget our cocktails sharers and superb coffee! Our food is all about tapas, Steaks off the grill, and our beautiful deserts however you will find we offer the ‘usual suspects’ and lighter dishes too! Nicely refurbished. My husband had cod & chips which was good, some of my Mixed Grill was a bit dry and overcooked. Good sized portions. Service was rather slow. Beer and wine were both very good. Reasonable value. Will return sometime.
