   Giovanni is my family’s favorite restaurant in Nashville. My husband and I moved here 2 years ago, and after trying dozens of highly acclaimed restaurants and being disappointed, mainly by the quality of the food, we decided that the only 2 restaurants we treasure are Giovanni and Peninsula. We measure our experience, among other criteria, on how the food tastes, the quality of the ingredients and the service. We love how flawlessly and beautifully the traditional Italian cuisine is executed at Giovanni, and the service is professional, pleasant and non intrusive. Mama Mia, la pasta e il risotto sono sempre fantastici! Thank you, Giovanni, for consistently delivering a remarkable experience!

   Me and my girlfriend had a wonderful time at this restaurant with a very nice intimate setting and delicious food, if I only had one thing to complain about, it would be how our server was around us. He kept making jokes which was fine but it was hard to understand him, he didn’t give us his name, and he left us and had someone serve us halfway through our experience which was weird since they did not seem busy in the restaurant. Overall, we had a lovely time in the restaurant, 5 stars!

   First, the food was in fact delicious. The place wasn't full although there were other diners there. The only negative, is that it was our anniversary and I had put that information in the reservation. Once we ordered, practically all of our food came out at one time. The starter and salad course - together. Our entree almost simultaneously to putting the fork down after the salad. We literally were finished in 40 minutes. It felt extremely rushed.

   My girlfriend and I had the BEST time at this gem of a spot on Sunday. From the moment we sat down, we were in great hands—Keith and another wonderful gentleman (wish I remembered his name!) were absolutely delightful. So attentive, warm, and full of amazing recommendations. You can truly tell they both have hospitality in their hearts—professional, personable, and they knew the menu inside and out. They even had the bartenders whip up the BEST espresso martinis we’ve ever had—seriously, next level. The food was incredible, and the overall vibe made for the perfect Sunday Funday escape from the chaos of kids and husbands. We had no idea what to expect, and we were completely blown away. 10/10—can’t wait to come back!

   Outstanding quality and service. Our server, Kevin, truly added to our experience. We can’t wait to dine there again. I dine all over the United States, from New York to San Francisco and places in between. Giovanni’s ranks among the best restaurants in the country.

   We celebrated our 11 year anniversary at Giovanni, a yearly tradition since our wedding reception was held there. The food and staff is fantastic. We highly recommend!

    My partner and I ate at Giovanni's for a special date night while in Nashville. Our server was very professional and paid attention to every detail. They even pulled out the chair for me and put my napkin on my lap for me when I returned from the powder room. Every step of service was graceful and on point. The food was absolutely divine. We ordered the calamari, salad special, squid ink pasta, and the veal. Oh my goodness. Every bite was delicious. We sent each plate back wiped clean. The ambiance was amazing. There was a live piano player in the upstairs of the restaurant that echoed down the spiral staircase and added to the lovely ambiance. Low lighting made the space romantic and the space reminded me of my favorite restaurant in Tuscany. We were stuffed by dessert, but the dinner was so good, I had high hopes for dessert. We ordered the tiramisu to go to enjoy back at the hotel and it was the best tiramisu I have ever had at a restaurant. I would highly recommend this for anyone who wants to have a lovely date night or dinner with friends.
