With one of the best selections of craft beer in Norfolk, our rooftop bar offers a terraced patio with spectacular views of the Elizabeth River. Surrounded by the patio's landscaped trees and atmospheric lighting, sip a hand-crafted cocktail or craft beer socializing with guests and locals around the fire pit.

We are accepting Walk-ins only. We invite you to stop in an explore Norfolk’s only rooftop beer garden at your leisure. Thank you for choosing Grain as your dining destination! Heightened Covid-19 Prevention Procedures with Outdoor seating available (Weather Permitted).

Dining reservations are limited to 90 minutes to ensure all of our guests get an opportunity to enjoy Grain! Incomplete parties will be seated once all guests have arrived. Parking is located in Plume Street garage attached to the rear of the hotel.

    Food was excellent! Mothers Day buffet was VERY crowded (expected) and noisy (more so than expected). Staff very good.

    The food was great and the atmosphere was awesome. They charged us an automatic $28 tip for a waiter that gave us one drink and never brought refills. We couldn't find anyone to ask to adjust it they were so busy. Due to how busy it was, we waited 30 min for an omelet and 15 minutes to get through one side of the buffet. Food was cold by the time I could sit. Just overall not a good experience.

    This was a $40/p Easter buffet: full of oysters, scallops, mussels, lamb, plus much more. The homemade sticky buns won the day though!

    Very disappointed. Have been to Grain many times and the experience was always great. The Easter Buffet was bad. Food was not replenished, it was cold and not much in the way of variety for the main courses. The breakfast selections looked a bit better. Had to wait quite some time before any lamb was available, got the last pieces of the ham and folks were waiting for more to come out. No potatoes for main courses, had to eat breakfast potatoes. Grain you are better then this. However the service was great.
