Grand Cru is a French American Bistro and Wine bar offering fine food in a cozy European style atmosphere. One of the key advantages of Grand Cru is our on site wine store with over 450 premium wines from around the world. Any of these retail priced wines can be enjoyed with your dinner with a modest on premise service fee. Grand Cru also features a selection of over 50 domestic and hard to get imported beers. Grand Cru also has a full bar with several signature cocktails and on draft beers.
The menu at Grand Cru consists of an impressive array of tapas items, world class entrees, fondue and hand crafted desserts. the idea is equisite food paired great wines at a price you can afford. But if you are in the mood to eat at home, stop by and pick up a bottle of wine to go.

                                                                                                We go there often and the it seems like the portion size has gone down as well as the price is going up . I understand the economy is not in a good spot right now, but it seems one or the other would be OK and not both . we were seated right next to a first date table, but there were other spaces available. The weight staff is usually very friendly and accommodating. My husband doesn’t like that the quiche was taken off the menu. We miss the old beet salad. The seasonal ale is often out of stock. Good quality.

                                                                                                The ambience is great. Feels like you are in a France. The food was just OK. French Onion soup was great and I thought the Lobster Mac was decent but I received my scallops and they were pretty cold. Also, the surf part of the surf and turf was nothing spectacular/lacking flavor.

                                                                                                This is a great neighborhood restaurant. The menu is varied with many outstanding selections, and you can choose your bottle of wine from the extensive offerings on the shelves. The prices are reasonable. The servers remember our food and drink preferences and always greet us with a smile. It's conversation-friendly and definitely our "go-to" restaurant for a nice night out.

                                                                                                Food was delicious, nicely presented and creative, and a good value, as was the wine compared with many other fine food restaurants, factoring in the expected wine markup. The service was attentive, perhaps a bit too so, as the waiter came back every minute or two to ask us if we were ready to order after we had literally just sat down, even though the restaurant was not at all crowded so there was no reason to be in a rush to get our order in, but she was otherwise excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

                                                                                                New Year’s Eve dinner had great choices for appetizers. Onion soup was outstanding best in dc area . Beet salad was good. Rockfish entree was very flavorful with crispy potato pancake. Divers scallops were very tasty. Our favorite was the dessert— a coffee ice with white chocolate sabonye with donuts.
