   People were what made noise level loud. Traveled a lot and Americans have to talk and laugh without regard of other diners. Not a problem that can be controlled. 😁

   Great meal. Grilled salmon with amazing quinoa. Service was, as always, so impeccable and attentive. Server amazing.

   Arrived early for our reservation but were seated promptly. My daughter and I had just left The Nelson and our practice is to enjoy The Grand Street Cafe to top off the day. We are never disappointed. Sammie our waiter was excellent, he made great recommendations on the Special and a Pasta for my daughter. Both were outstanding. The entrees and desserts seemed to come out quickly. We enjoy this eatery and visit often, if you’re around the Museum or UMKC give The Grand Street Cafe a try.. you’ll love it.

   Michael is a wonderful server. His attention to our party was exemplary. The Trout was delicious. I wish Grand Street would serve more GF items, such as bread or rolls for sandwiches and appetizers. I had an Arnold Palmer with fresh squeezed lemonade. It is my favorite. Prices are slightly up, but not too high.

While about 30% of our menu is inherently gluten free, and about 50% can be prepared gluten free, it is true that we don't offer gluten free substitutes for bread.    I recently had a truly disappointing experience at this establishment that I feel compelled to share—especially for anyone with food allergies. Despite my explicit warnings about my dietary restrictions, the management was completely unresponsive and unhelpful when it came to finding a safe meal option. While I was counting on a safe dining experience, I was instead met with indifference and a lack of genuine concern for my well-being. Chris, the bartender, did his best to advocate on my behalf. He took the time to try and check ingredients and suggest alternatives that would accommodate my allergies. However, his efforts were completely undermined by the management’s refusal to assist. Rather than working with me to find a meal that was safe to eat, they offered nothing more than a bland salad as an entrée—their way of essentially saying, “we don’t really want to serve you.” This dismissive attitude and the blatant disregard for customer safety are unacceptable. If you have any type of food allergies, I strongly advise you to avoid this place. It’s clear that management isn’t interested in taking the extra steps necessary to ensure that every guest, regardless of dietary needs, can enjoy their meal safely. Save yourself the hassle, the risk, and the disappointment—choose a restaurant where your health and well-being are taken seriously.

Our manager and chef did discuss at length what could be safely prepared based on the allergy card you provided, and due to the severity of the allergies, we erred on the side of caution to ensure your safety.
