It may have been just an off night, but food was not good. I was dining single before an event downtown and was relegated to a back corner along with the other “single” diners. (I made my reservation weeks in advance). Butter lettuce and pear salad was a beautiful presentation but swimming in salad dressing and had what appeared to be Frenches fried onion bits on top. Short Rib Ragú was in a thin watery sauce and heavily salted as was everything. The meat was overcooked and thin shards of it rested in a tasteless sauce. I seldom if ever send a meal back but really had to. The second choice meal (Striped Sea Bass) was overcooked and equally bland. The final straw was when the assistant food server food shamed me and asked if he should remove my bread (?- was I eating over the accepted limit while I waited my new meal- two half pieces?). The manager was very kind and apologetic and comped my meal which was very generous. However, it was a disappointing evening. Good things were service and ambiance. Maybe just a bad night.
