   This was our first visit to GCFB, and most likely the last. The food wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t anything special. We ordered the fish tacos, the barbecue chicken flatbread, and the Bock & Cheese pasta dish. The portions were all a decent size. The most disappointing was the minimal service. The servers were polite and friendly, but could have been more attentive. The restaurant was not busy at all, and yet nobody offered drink refills and we waited a long time for the bill. We had to flag someone down when needed. I’m guessing that because it’s a brewery the main reason that one would choose this restaurant is to experience all the unique varieties of beer. We were not there for that reason though, so perhaps not the best choice in a restaurant for us non beer drinkers. If you like beer then I’m guessing you might like it!

   The Oktoberfest buffet was excellent just like every buffet Granite City has.

   Food was very good. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Only issue was that the juice for the endless mimosas was warm, needed to be chilled or have a way for guests to keep cold at the table.

   Server was fine, but didn't visit our table often enough. Missed out on me ordering another beverage. Also, was difficult to hear the soft-spoken server over the noise of the other diners.

   The Sunday breakfast buffet was great. The best parts of the buffet were the caramel rolls and the prime rib! We were seated almost as soon as we walked in. Very good meal. A little overpriced for seniors. We don’t eat much!!

    The food was good, but the service was kinda slow considering it didn’t seem that busy. We weren’t checked on after our food was brought out until we were completely done eating. The wait staff was nice; we just didn’t see enough of them.
