   Great food … great service … one of our favorite spots to fine at. Jarrod and Nate at the bar ALWAYS make our time at GC amazing!

   Normally we have good experiences here, but tonight was subpar compared to past visits. While the food tasted good overall, the waffle fry portion served with my Turkey Overlake was much smaller than usual. Not enough of a portion to justify the extra cost. In regards to the server, he was not attentive, took a very long time to get back to us to take our order, and then only checked back once to see how we were doing and that was very late in to our meal. My hope is this experience was an anomaly as we have been customers since the restaurant opened in 1999 and the norm has been good service.

   Our server "Lunch Lady Sam" was incredible. We all struggled to name a dining experience where we had service as friendly and attentive, I don't think I have ever experienced service that was better even in restaurants at a much higher price point. Food was excellent, I was on deck at the right time to scoop a crunchy corner out of a fresh pan of Reggiano Potatoes and get the rarest cut from the center of a prime rib. I should have stopped on the way home for a lottery ticket. Good work all around Granite City!

   Great service by the hottest and our server was excellent as well. We arrived for our reservation very early and they still were able to seat us. The grilled chicken with spinach artichoke dip on it was delicious.

   Our waitress seemed pretty annoyed of us. Every time she answered a question she seemed even more annoyed.

   Excellent food, great atmosphere for a fun “ date night” out! Nate at the bar is one of the best servers we’ve ever had! We’ll be back for sure!
