The resturant is stunning! Had been wanting to try for a while and as soon as I saw they were closing I rushed to book a reservation. It's my 35th tomorrow and my partner and I were really looking forward to eating here. We both ordered french onion soup, he had duck, I had risotto. We had a bad french onion soup in Strasbourg of all places, this is sadly the second worst french onion soup he'a had. It's the third worst for me, I hate to say. Toronto is a wonderful food city, and I've had many excellent french onion soups in this city. This one didn't have the standard melted cheese on top. The bread was great, the flavour was just okay. My partner didn't like the flavour at all. I didn't try his duck, however my risotto was undercooked. There were others who were were seated at either the same time or after who recieved their dishes well before us. We waited well over 40 minutes to recieve our entrees. We kept seeing the chef send out plates, but not ours. I have a feeling (who I believe is the owner) saw that we still didn't have our plates. Perhaps she asked for a rush to be put on them? I don't know, but that's my assumption with how undercooked it was. No one came by to say I'm sorry for the wait, he's backed up. Nothing. That would have made things a bit better. We sat down at 6 pm,,arrived early and were happy to wait. The resturant was gracious to sit us sooner. I had been looking forward to ordering dessert, but after our disappointing meals, we just wanted to end the night. We both finished most of our food as, what would be the other option? They close in a week. I really question the chef, no gloves no seasoning. I love french food and have eaten it for years. I hope he improves his craft. I wanted to love this place and I hate to leave a bad review. I don't work in the resturant world and I can only imagine how tough it is.

Alison, you are a soup aficionado. On my next visit to Strasbourg, I will inform them of their gold medal. You were seated at the bar. At any given time, I was 6 feet away. We received no indication of displeasure from you. We served 16 soup & 14 Risotto last eve. You ordered @ 6:17pm. 2 courses each & paid the bill by 7:38pm. With a packed room you received & finished your meal in 1 hr 21 mins. I dare say that my kitchen staff were superstars. On your behalf, I will be popping a btl of Champagne next shift to thank them for their efficiency. 35 today. You were 1 yr old when I started my restaurant career. As a bday gift, kindly send me your email. I will graciously educate on how 2 people can cook for 23 guests that arrive all at the same time at 6pm. Superstars they are. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

As always, Greta Solomun's was amazing. I am so sad that they are closing down next Saturday. If you haven't checked them out yet do yourself a favour and book a table right now! And if you already know how amazing they are, book a table to say a final goodbye.

Greta Solomon’s is a charming, quaint French restaurant that offers a truly unforgettable dining experience. The atmosphere is intimate and cozy, with dim lighting and an ambience that makes you feel right at home. The food is absolutely incredible—each dish is crafted with care and bursting with flavour. The friendly staff only adds to the experience, making you feel welcomed from the moment you walk in. If you haven’t yet, make sure to visit before they close their doors on March 15th, 2025. It’s a must-try spot for anyone who loves French cuisine and a warm, inviting atmosphere. You won’t regret it!

Fantastic ambiance, very romantic. Service was excellent. Food is excellent, if not a little pricey (it’s fine French food so you are getting what you pay for!). Great for a special occasion or a splurge dinner out!

Had a wonderful date night steak dinner using the Thursday special House wine was a nice and simple French GSM. Also started with oysters and had the crème brûlée for dessert. All of it was great!

You placed my wife and I beside the door at -10 Celsius. Because you were short staffed (I had two servers) I was compelled to get up from my meal and shut the door after guests departed. I did this to three times. Put simply you made no accommodations for the weather. Did not anticipate the impact on your guests. For $283.
