Unbelievably slow service with no communication from the staff, or even an apology when we waited nearly 40mins for eggs. The kitchen is small and only one person cooking, so it is understandable, but the manager should have communicated this to us out of courtesy. I also saw the manager handle my cooked poached eggs with his hands when plating up my food, but he was also serving coffee and clearing tables, which makes me question hygiene. The food was tasty but I wouldn’t come again after this experience.

We had a delicious Sunday brunch and a warm welcome from the lovely waitress. A great cafe for the locals - I’m not often in Honor Oak, but if I’m ever in the area again I’ll definitely return!

Still outstanding! I haven't written a review for a while because I have few remaining superlatives that I've not already used to describe this little gem of a coffee shop. Here's one more: the service is the best: if my coffee is not being poured as soon as I walk in, it is likely to arrive on my table before I order

Went in for drinks before and after eating next door. Great service by friendly staff. Made you feel at home from the start. Great cocktails and also a nice pint of IPA for me.

Such a lovely place with a really cozy vibe. The staff was so friendly as well and they make effort into connecting with people. Loved the place and the wine. It's great to finally have a true gem in SE London

There's not much I can say about G&G that I haven't said already. I keep coming back because it's the best coffee shop I know. It's not just the food and coffee; the staff know their customers by name and one is always made to feel very welcome.
