   Sunday Brunch at Gulf Stream Cafe is the best in town. Eggs,cheesy grits,seafood selections,monkey bread , fruit …. They have it all. Food is tasty and service is outstanding! Thanks again. Will be back soon

   We have been coming to Gulf Stream since it opened in 1986 and it has always been one of our favorite restaurants… but our experience there last night was sub par. The two bartenders upstairs seemed overwhelmed and out of most of the things people were ordering. It took 20 minutes to get cocktails and several of them were terrible. Once we got seated for dinner, our waitress couldn’t remember the specials and told us the wrong fish of the day multiple times. We ordered broiled grouper (which we have had there before many times) and what arrived seemed closer to a fried fish fillet with no flavor. When we politely asked if the fish was fried, our waitress just shrugged and said “it’s supposed to be broiled” and then walked away. We have always loved this restaurant for its beautiful marsh views at sunset, but we won’t be coming back again anytime soon. I hope they can get their act together again soon and do a better job of training their staff. Everyone who works there now seemed miserable or apathetic. In contrast, we ate at Frank’s Outback a few days before, and all of their staff was outstanding.

   This was our first time there. The view over the marsh was great. The food was excellent. The calamari appetizer was as good as I have ever had. I had the shrimp pasta and my wife had the grouper. Both wonderful We'll be going back!
