   We requested a table to have a nice birthday dinner and they sat us at the half booth half table. The tables are so close that you literally are talking with the people beside you. They told us that the tables are for groups of 3 or more, yet all we saw is two people being seated at them. This is the second time this happened, there won’t be a third.

   Wait staff was amazing. Food was mediocre at best. The music was annoying loud. Ambience? None. Overall, major disappointment.

   We were excited to try something new, and haven't been to Scioto Downs for years. We heard decent things about Trattoria but nothing lived up to the hype. First, if you don't know where it is, it can be hard to find. Signage is nonexistent at best, and we were running a few minutes late to the reservation. We tried to call, but you can't get through to the restaurant, at least with the number on OpenTable or Google. When we finally found it it was hard to miss, but was tucked in the back part of the Casino. We got seated and waited 15 minutes for the server. She said "sorry" and we waited another 10-15 min to order. She was friendly and we blew off that wait. Then we waited for the food. And waited. It wasn't super busy, but steady. We got the ceaser salad and it was OK, nit great but it's just a salad. Then we got the main course. I ordered lasagna and I'll admit it was quite good. My date ordered fettuccini Alfredo and she was quite disappointed. Not good flavor. We didn't complain but the server didn't even ask why she only ate a few bites of it. The garlic bread was quite good. Maybe we just ordered wrong...?? When it was time for dessert we waited a while to order (not by choice), and we finally were able to order the tiramisu. After about 30 minutes or so we got the check, but not the dessert. 10 minutes later we got the dessert. It was good, but the whole experience was off. From finding the place to leaving the place, it all took much longer than it should have,

   Party of 7 appetizers came out quickly and were very good. Lasagna was large enough for 2 people, same with Caesar salad. All were delicious.

   We were not impressed with our meals. Service was slow to everyone, not just us. Maybe our expectations were too high.

   Always great food and great service! Cant wait to try everything on the menu, this was our second visit. Both times everything was great! And the staff is always amazing!

   5th wedding anniversary, and hopes were high! “Date night” strawberries were not good or worth the money. Fried cheese was great, but bread was not. Calamari was mostly very small pieces of mostly breading, but sauce was amazing. Wife had spaghetti carbonara, she loved it! I had garlic shrimp scampi, sauce was so wet you could barely get it on your fork. Finished the night with a Weller CYPB bourbon pour from their rare bourbons menu. $40 on the menu, but charged $65. When I asked the bartender, I was told there were different pour options, but that wasn’t mentioned on the menu that I looked at. Server was very friendly, but it was his first week. $192.00 bill plus $50 tip, probably our first and last time.
