Gwen Butcher Shop & Restaurant is the second restaurant from fine dining chef Curtis Stone (of Maude) and the first he’s opened with his brother Luke Stone. Gwen is both a European-style, chef-driven butcher shop and a restaurant that is redefining dining in LA, with a menu that calls on fire-based cooking techniques. Whether you’re picking up house-made charcuterie, prime and rare breed meats from the retail store, enjoying a feast in the dining room or relaxing with a bite and cocktail at the bar, Gwen delivers the highest standards of quality, taste and service.

On Wednesdays-Sundays, we offer Chef's Carte Blanche 5-course tasting menu for $140 per person (limited quantities available). The service was really good, the servers were friendly and very knowledgeable. The food was very good as well, they have a sommelier who can recommend wine pairing with the food you ordered.

Awesome waitstaff, super modern yet a bit retro on the decor. The lighting made picture taking a little complicated. You get to pick out your own steak knife, and then you are told the origin of said knife. Really neat stuff. Their menu rotates with what is fresh in the area. They have weekly specials, I think? Some items don't show online like the wagyu. The charcuterie is a MUST try. Cheese plate is ok, not necessary. Also the duck fat potatoes are required. Best texture ever!

We visited Gwen for the first time to celebrate our wedding anniversary and chose the Chef’s Carte Blanche experience at the chef’s counter. The atmosphere was elegant, the food was outstanding, and the attention from both the chefs and service staff made it truly unforgettable. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience.
