   My wife and I dined and the food was great and the vibes were great, good music and great food! Definitely worth it!

   A very negative experience at haiku in Tampa. We waited for our table for over 30 minutes despite having a booking for 815, couples with later bookings came in after and were seated before us. After this we were finally seated next to the toilet, which had a very large queue snaking around our table. We left without dining.

   Expensive for mediocre experience. Drinks took a while because there was a large group dining in the event room, which I understand to a degree, but still was disappointing when drinks are $20 each and we drove 40 mins to celebrate my fiancé’s birthday. Server didn’t seem to know much about the cocktail menu or the food menu, she struggled to answer basic questions about spices, sauce, etc. I ordered the waygu short rib, about 10-15 minutes after I ordered, a manager came and said they were sold out and asked if I’d like something else. I opted for the shrimp fried rice, which came out very quickly, but I’ve had better from takeout joints. We then waited what seemed like 25 minutes to get the check, and another 15 for someone else (not even our server) to walk by and take the card. No one ever offered us anything for the birthday (was listed on the reservation) or for anything that went wrong in regards to service or value. Cool ambiance and interior design. Would try again, but can’t say I wasn’t really disappointed.

   I was really excited to try this place but the service completely spoiled my evening. Our waitress visited our table maybe twice the whole evening, ignored our flags, never explained the menu or checked on us and even rolled her eyes when we asked for soy sauce for our rolls….. We had to ask other servers multiple times to do her job. Food was alright- Best thing was the citrus salmon roll. Really want to come back to get another experience from another server, so I will maybe try again one day.

   We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit at Haiku. Our server Sam was very attentive and informative. He explained all of the entrees, the portion sizes, and drink menu. He gave us suggestions after asking what we liked and didn’t like and we were happy with our food and drink choices. We ordered the crab cake to share (it’s a good starter and sized for 2), Pork Belly Rice, and Udon with Steak. They were mindful with my allergies and added extra veggies at my request no extra charge. We didn’t have room for desert and took food home. We sat outside since it was about 80 degrees. We will go back and hope we get Sam as our server.

   Drinks were good. Food was very poor. Did not taste fresh. Sushi tasted like it came from the grocery store. Very nice ambiance. Would recommend to grab a drink but definitely would not go for dinner or food

   Haiku showed availability on open table and I booked the reservation. When I showed up they said the table wasn’t available and couldn’t accommodate us. Had to pivot pretty hard to get some food somewhere else. Something is not communicating there.

    Service was not good at all. Drinks were good, but not great WHEN you finally got one. Drink came out after the food and the appetizer came out after the entree. Sushi came out with no sauces. When asked for sauce, it never came. They did comp the drink and offer a free dessert, but honestly for the price point, really bad service.
