The food was good but not good enough that I would go out of my way to eat at Hank's again. My husband ordered the grouper and the rice it was served on was cold. The service was efficient but the servers lacked any personality. Not just our server but all the servers in our area. We were not there during a busy time but the only smile was from the hostess upon arrival and exit.

Service got worse as evening went on. Started ok...but we rgen waited 25 minutes after entree served before we were seen again. On a Wednesday night, it was not busy

We’ve been to Hank’s a few times and loved it. This time the food wasn’t as good as it had been. I had the cod, which I’ve had 2 other times, and it didn’t taste right. I don’t think it was fully cooked. My husband had the tuna and didn’t like it either. The preparation had changed from previous times, and it wasn’t as good. We were disappointed.

Hanks advertised lobster rolls at Sunday brunch through June 30th. I was told by the bartender that weren’t offering them any more. (The reason I went for bunch). We ordered eggs Benedict with crab. It was a nice dish except the eggs were not poached. They were soft boiled to slightly hard boiled. When we pointed that out to the bartender he apologized but that was it. We should have asked for the manager, our error. I thought the bartender would have comped our 2 bloody Mary’s but no For $29 per eggs Benedict we felt a little ripped off but I suppose the crabmeat pushed the price up. And then there were the screaming children in the dining room.

A fun place with great service and great food. We love Charleston and lowcountry food. Made us feel like we were there! Just loved our evening meal there!!

For the price, we were quite disappointed. We will still to our local favorite spots. We "ventured" a little out of our town for a birthday dinner and we had heard wonderful things about this restaurant. We had family in from out of state who have been to the Charleston location before and they said they would go to Charleston just to go to Hanks! Unfortunately, we just were not wow-ed. I had the mussels as my entree, and they were good- not great, just good. My husband had tuna that was great flavour but such a small portion. My BIL had the ribeye and it was a great dish but for the price I would have been upset if it was anything less. We had great service, and the atmosphere was upscale, but calm and comfortable at the same time. All in all- wouldn't recommend it, wouldn't return, but not here to make a scene. In one word I would just say "meh".
