The name Hapa is derived from the Hawaiian term that describes a harmonious blend of Asian and American cultures. Like our name, our food reflects this dynamic combination. The menu is based on traditional Japanese cooking fundamentals which are then amplified, muted, or mixed with influences from many different styles of cooking until they are something completely new: they're Hapa. We have stretched the boundaries of creativity to develop dishes that defy all the rules while holding true to our roots. We hope you will find our menu innovative, uninhibited, and distinctly fun! We went for a very much needed date night. We love Hapa and this time it seems to have declined a little. First off my little soy saucer was not clean, it was promptly replaced. The sushi was fine, it seems the quality has gone down a little. The problem was the dessert; we ordered the Ube Creme Brûlée, and it’s terrible. For $12 each. First off it’s texture was much closer to a flan than creme brûlée custard, it was bland and the sugar on top wasn’t torched (the Brûlée part of creme brûlée) and the berries were soggy. It missed it mark on all aspects. Overall it was a decent meal but for $150+ it should be exceptional.

Our experience was great, as usual. We especially loved the tuna poke with taro cake! The veggie potstickers were wonderful, as were the avocado rolls. The beef carpaccio was a really special dish ... hadn't ever tasted anything like it; delish!

Very great experience overall. Server was really good. Gyoza were amazing. The sushi was very fresh. Reasonably priced for the area.

Honestly, everything was amazing from the service down to the drinks. The food that we ordered was immaculate. Everything was very well seasoned and fresh. And very enjoyable. If I could rate 10 stars, I would.

We love Hapa but the Valentine’s Day experience was cramped -small tables for couples were all placed in one small room. Our experience was good but overall everyone could hear each other’s conversations bc of how close together we were … my husband and I were ready to pay as soon as we were done eating.
