Happy Endings is Broadbeach’s new Japanese-inspired izakaya hiding unsuspectingly above bustling laneway bar and sister venue, Fig + Frankies. While specialising in cocktails, Happy Endings also boasts a late-night snack menu, so you won’t go hungry. Start off with small Japanese-inspired nibbles like hibachi roasted corn and zangi chicken, yakitori and sashimi before moving on to the larger stars. The wagyu don, katsu sando and Korean cauliflower are all home runs with out-of-the-park flavours.

I normally don't write reviews. Please be aware though if you book a table here don't be expecting much in terms of food or drinks. The menu is quite small and the food was not great. I did feel a little sorry for the front of house staff as it would be a tiresome shift making excuses for the food quality your entire shift. This could be a great place heaps of potential but completely missing the mark at the moment.

Amazing cocktails and food! My family is a pain to feed when we go out with all the food allergies possible and vegan/vegetarians, but there was something for everyone and all the dishes were delicious!
