   Waitress never came back to our table. Gave us water, said she would be with us in a moment. 30 minutes came and went, she went and gave hot water to one table, and checked on 2 more tables. She seemed nice but idk maybe she just forgot about us, we tried to get her attention twice.

   We went today for our first time after a show downtown. They were not busy and while I fully expected to order a drink before dinner, the first thing out of the waiter's mouth was "Do you know what you want to order?", No good evening, no Hi, would you like to order any drinks or appetizers... So we quickly ordered and then I asked for coffee and was told the kcup machine was broken. We would not recommend the restaurant. Maybe it was just an off night for them.

   Mark, So sorry you need not get a proper greeting, introduction and new customer discussion about us and our menu etc. Very frustrating and I immediately reviewed our policy with staff. Thank you for the feedback. Regarding coffee, we have so few orders we switched to K-Cups nearly two years ago, which has worked out great. We are on our third and now have a back up, just in case. Thank you for dining with us. We will do better!

   We had a reservation and despite this, they took a number of walkins (10 or more) ahead of us. Manager defended this practice by saying the walkins had been waiting over an hour and we were only 10-15 minutes past our reservation time. Didn’t make sense to me but if that’s there practice. Waitress was very friendly but it took a long time for the food to come out. And she disappeared for long periods of time several times. Despite all this, the food was amazing and prices were decent. This is the only reason I gave the restaurant 3 stars. Atmosphere was average and cleanliness was as well. It was our first time here and I would go back and give them a second try but not in a hurry to recommend them just yet. Many other restaurants in the downtown area we’ve dined at gave us a better experience.

   Hi Aaron, It was a pleasure talking to you on Valentines day and I am am very pleased we never ran more than fifteen minutes behind on reserved tables. On a day like this we rely on reservation system to assign tables. Our booths primarily go to guests with reservations. To shift things around continuously and not rely on system can get crazy and push us further behind in the rare moments table don't turn as fast as planned. Glad you found the food "Amazing".    We were disappointed in this restaurant. The ambiance was not what we expected, the table placements were so close it was hard to walk through, my partners food was cold when it arrived and mine was steaming and spicer than informed of. The server was nice, but we rarely saw her as the service was extremely slow. Best thing about this place was the drinks, so kudos to the bartender but we still won’t be back.

   Mark, The great steak was not by chance. We buy the top end of choice or prime grade and butcher in house! We cook with very high temperatures to start the sear process and then slow cook. Your steaks get three layers of seasoning. Once before cooking to tenderize and then two at the final stages. All steaks receive a touch of house made zip sauce and the perfect blend of herb based and gentle seasonings. We feel our steaks are way beyond what's available in Detroit and compare to the best in Kansas City and Chicago! At a much more affordable price! Thank you for noticing the effort we put into serving the best steaks!

    Service is always awesome! Bianca is usually our waiter and she knows exactly what we want. She is polite and attentive. We go for specific food items such as fried mushrooms, black eyed peas pea soup, fettuccine Alfredo, crab legs, etc. I can go on and on and on! Harbor House is a good eating spot!
