   Booked for Christmas Day and certainly didn’t disappoint- lovely ambience, staff amazing, food delicious and delivered to your table hot and timings in between main and deserts perfect. Definitely worth the price and wouldn’t hesitate to book again!

   I had Christmas lunch (on my own). I had my choice of gluten free prawn cocktail starter, steak and chips with vegetables and a gluten free chocolate brownie dessert. Everything was delicious and perfect in every way possible. The chef cooked the steak exactly right. Service was great (no fuss) and the atmosphere for the day was great too - yes a few noisy children, but it was Christmas Day and actually it was quite nice having families! I have eaten in top restaurants around the world and I know my food and wine, and on balance (whilst not Michelin star - I wouldn’t’ve gone if it was) this was really very enjoyable. I had a lovely lunch and will go again. I went for a short walk along the river afterwards and it was just so pleasant. Thank you everyone so much.

   Starters and mains were excellent , service was great up until then. They were very attentive and as soon as it got busy, they were resetting tables and looking after the new tables coming in so it felt like we were forgotten about, we had to go to the bar to order our coffees as nobody had been over for a while. This isn’t a criticism , it was a great meal and we’d definitely be back, it’s more of an observation that other guests might be upset about, we were happy to just be out and appreciate the staff giving up their Xmas day to look after us. It was busy and we had a great time so thank you for looking after us

   Went for a meal on the 21/12/24 the service was lovely, Very friendly and polite staff, they had a brass band playing Christmas music which was really nice. And the food was amazing, we will definitely be returning 😊

   Family and friends Christmas meal. Haven’t been to the Havelock for years, so it was a pleasant surprise to find it neat, tidy, smart and welcoming. Food good value, portion size was just right. Drinks choice extensive, so everyone was adequately catered for. Next time, I’ll invite my dog!

    Food very good and well presented.Staff friendly and attentive. Restaurant cold when we arrived just on opening and did not really warm up even with fire on. Would not prevent us going back.
