      I want to be honest as I can be without being too critical. We arrived at 17:20 our table wasn’t ready. We sat at the bar had a drink each - all ok. I’d think it was close to 18:00 when we were actually seated and by the time we ordered and starters came it was 18:30. The food was excellent, plates cold and as such my monkfish was warm, not hot. Maybe compromised waiting on the filet steak. W then got to dessert at 19:10 and were told the table had to be given back by 19:30. The waitress then came back and said we’re been given an extension to 19:45 nevertheless this didn’t sit well. We paid up and left. £220 lighter for two and the service as above. Didn’t spoil the night but expected so much more.

      Beautiful and bustling place, lots of dark wood but high ceilings. The bone marrow with onion was delicious although a little onion forward. The Cesar salad was a very good deconstructed salad, lots of Parmesan’s and sardine which gave it a great salty kick. Our steaks were delicious. Overall food was very good. Service was good not excellent but very good. We will be back.

      Great food and service. One gripe is being charged for sauces with steak. These should be an option as part of the price of the steak.
