Good selection of authentic food and drinks. We particularly liked the chicken tikka massala and the date pudding, and the Cobra lager.

The staff were very attentive to us even though they did seem short staffed. The food was so good! Really well presented. If i came again I'd probably have the taster menu. It seemed expensive at 58 pounds each but it would have been a better way to sample their menu. Overall, expensive but worth it!

We booked the three course lunch menu which included a kir royale. As we were celebrating our wedding anniversary we wanted a bottle of champagne to accompany the meal. We were very surprised that the restaurant had run out of bottles of all their champagnes! So instead a gin & tonic and amaretto sour cocktail in hand we ordered our lunch. I particularly like the samosa chaat starter whilst the squid was also tasty. Butter chicken with rice and dhal with extra mushrooms and onion bhajis followed. We were offered extra rice but didn’t take up their offer. We both had (out of season?) rhubarb trifle for dessert. We were given a complementary gulam jamun with Happy Anniversary written in chocolate! There were two others in the restaurant but they left very soon leaving us alone - okay, we did have a 2pm booking on a Monday. So a quiet lunch with just us and the waiter! In summary, no complaints about the food which was flavoursome and delicious. Disappointed we couldn’t celebrate with champagne.

The food was delicious. The only thing I found disappointing was the set menu at lunch included a Kir Royal, I don’t drink alcohol and there wasn’t a non alcoholic alternative.

Good quality indian food at reasonable cost. New menu not as good as previous - lacking in additional dishes such as sag aloo
